Ответить9th subscriber I bought a wiper cowl cover from you guys from my Mach great quality I might even get a one of these roofs in a few months
Ответитьhow much should i expect to pay for install
Ответитьhow does it last in the sun?
ОтветитьVery excited to see these being produced. Expect an order from me this year!
ОтветитьWas my roof supposed to come with holes for rivets or am i supposed to put the holes in it myself?
ОтветитьThe process is about right, but window weld should not be used in this operation. It is not strong enough to provide a proper bond between the metal substrate and the carbon fiber panel. Also a primer is not recommendable medium between the metal adhesive and carbon fiber. The proper procedure to ensure a lasting and safe installation is to use 80 grit sand paper and scuff the bottom lip of the carbon fiber panel thoroughly where it will meet the metal surface. Clean the metal surface and Carbon fiber with a prep clean or wax and grease removing agent to remove any contaminants. From there on out Apply an Adhesive that is compatible with both surfaces. (this scenario Steel and Carbon Fiber) one such Adhesive is Pliogrip Panel 90 which can be bought online or ordered through a local autobody supply distributor and is compatible for a Metal to Carbon Fiber Adhsesive Bonding. Apply a bead of Panel Bond Adhesive on the metal substrate where mating surfaces will join. Use an acid brush or plastic spreader to spread panel bond adhesive evenly and make sure to cover any exposed metal to prevent any corrosion in the future. Apply another bead of Panel bond adhesive over again to ensure proper adhesive thickness when mating the two surfaces. You do not need to re-spread the second time. Grab carbon Fiber roof install it on the car. You can gently shift it around to line it up to where its needed BUT DO NOT REMOVE PANEL after it has been placed on the adhesive. Install rivets and using C-Clamps clamp in between where the rivets cannot apply pressure. Make sure to protect dash and any interior trim from any adhesive excess that may pour out. Clean any excess adhesive with damp rag using laquer thinner if needed. Leave clamped following product instructions. I am a Certified Collision Repair Tech and have been doing this for over 10 years. I am not talking trash discounting the Creator of this video or anything like that. I am providing information to ensure a proper and secure installation.
ОтветитьCould have pretty much got the same look with a wrap .. for way less money
ОтветитьNice but why would you do that to call 2003 mustang worth $4,000?
ОтветитьThis is so dope!
From the New Edge owners across the globe, thank you for continuing to produce products for this excellent vehicle platform!
You guys make some of the slickest products for the 99-04 Mustang
should add about 70 hp
ОтветитьThat carbon fiber roof is awesome looks great
ОтветитьWhy, why, didn't U cover his seats? Before you took a drill now there is metal all inside his car. Wasn't to smart.
Ответитьnext time, make music quieter than voice
ОтветитьGreat job!!!!@
ОтветитьNow it’ll be easier to spin out into a crowd
ОтветитьWhere do the rivots go exactly, like how do uk if they are lined up or not?
ОтветитьWrong hammer lol
ОтветитьWindow installs made my head hurt... professional removal, and amateur install, will leak, 2/10.
Ответитьcost of installation??
Ответитьa scenic roof would be pretty neat on a new edge.
ОтветитьWhere is the shop an the name
ОтветитьVery nice, very professional job with a few misinformed decisions, the metal should only be prepared as in burred/sanded or sandblasted if possible and acetines prior bonding no primer required the actual fly will protect the metal from rusting hence why should be enough glue to squeeze off some excess from the gaps and afterward cleaned with a cloth and a little bit of acetone.a substitute for acetone that is less harmful for the carbon fiber would be isopropanol which drys instantly and leaves no residue. Otherwise a good job.
Ответить100% would not recommend
ОтветитьHope your feeling okay man. Much love
ОтветитьThis lit asf
ОтветитьWhat rivets did you use?
ОтветитьWhat size rivets did you use?
ОтветитьYou guys got any videos on installing carbon fiber quarter panels
ОтветитьI wanted one so bad but just remembered my car has a sun roof 😭 and I don’t know if it’s worth cutting it out or not
ОтветитьCan I just do the same thing to a normal roof panel- I’ve got a huge dent on my current car was just hoping I can go to a junkyard and apply the same process but just they a metal roof again
ОтветитьNice work
ОтветитьThose big lumpy pop ribbits want cause the window to leak or not hold correctly???
ОтветитьOnly reason i want to do this is to get rid of the sunroof.
ОтветитьI want to make the fenders of Ford Mustang GT year 1994-1998 in carbon fiber and an estimate of the work
ОтветитьA few years ago this seemed impossible for me to do in my driveway. But looking back now, im confident i can do it
