ОтветитьSamhain/Halloween is to some people a very spiritual and magickal time of the year; for some it’s a time of fun and candy, perhaps a way to celebrate Fall in general; for others perhaps, a time to contemplate their own mortality as part of the holiday tradition is mocking death. Still, others are not quite sure what to make of it and prefer to steer clear of it, but however you wish to celebrate it….or not – Halloween is only ‘evil’ if one chooses to make it so.
ОтветитьMy kids will be wearing costumes and getting candy from our neighbors, but we will also be handing out 30 ESV NTs I got on ebay for $1 each. Sabotage halloween!
ОтветитьJB, what are your thoughts on Halloween?

ОтветитьSamhain or Halloween(All Hallow's Eve)was our ancestors celebration of ending one season and moving on to the next. Thanking ancestors, being grateful to nature for supplying an abundance of food from the land & other sources. Being thankful for those souls that we loved now deceased but not forgotten but remembered on Samhain. A time to honour those no longer physically with us. Mask wearing, costumes, etc came to be to ward off negativity & the giving of food stuffs was replaced with candy. Evil only comes into play if participants of Samhain wish it. Otherwise "Halloween" is a pre-Christain celebration of the changing season.
