woah owala is techinally washable its not recommended to wash the stainless steel in the dishwasher but I've done it a lot hasn't fave an issue

I have a 64oz water bottle. I only ever wash it after I'm sick. Which has been twice. I'm with link. It's just water. I already have my bacteria and funk in me. More cant hurt.
