Wow, never seen vending machines at the gate, only in Japan I guess. Over the ear headphones, nice, usually you get the ones that go in your ear. Sounded like the translation in the safety video was wrong. At the beginning of the video in Japanese it said thank you, but in English it said welcome. Metal utensils instead of plastic. This economy is definitely better than most other airlines. Very nice review.

but in economy, the 777 seats are wider because they have 9 across but the A350 are the standard 9 across with a narrower fuselage than the 777.

When you're entering the US CBP, are you been questioned by the officer? And when you queue at the immigration, is the queue are long?

Outstanding trip report. It's the first time I''ve seen food on a JAL flight not so Japanese and not living up to passengers' expectation. I'm not sure the Wellbeing menu is well-being if the food is salty... Btw, their new flagship A350-1000 is awesome
