We are dirty little lootgoblins stealing all the shiny shit :D
ОтветитьMore like space Mongols.
Except... the Mongols.
Humans are the roman empire of aliens
ОтветитьI love the different tones you give characters in this one the narrator sounds like a mixture of shocked and disgusted
ОтветитьWhen he said 52colony ships my brain started playing the original Battlestar galactic theme.
ОтветитьOh, we all know that Humanity became a United war-time-industry during that one year of not knowing when the enemy would come, because we know too that the enemy is alien scum, and they are not made in God’s image!!
ОтветитьThe description on the Dreadnoughts made me think of the Olympus Mons from Infinite Warfare
ОтветитьI very much doubt we would all be that welcoming to 7 billions aliens refugees when we can barely tolerate our own refugees😂
ОтветитьThat's a might fine ship you have. Would be a shame if Marines were to happen into it.
ОтветитьSounds like the rest of the Coalition are a bunch of push-overs.
ОтветитьI would say the main reason why we would welcome Dan’ik is that their fate would scared us sh!tless so working together is the only option
ОтветитьIn short:
"Intelligent life we're compatible with and has shiny new toys?"
"Oooh, space industrial revolution go boom!"
"Space bullies exist? WARTIME ECONOMY!"
"Oooh... MORE new stuff; I wonder what this button does..."
Good story! Funny without being a comedy. At the same time there was some seriousness in it which was blended well with the humor. And the actual story itself is good. Having several BILLION very foreign refugees suddenly show up on your doorstep would be a disaster, but in this case the refugees had a very valuable way to help pay for their upkeep. Yes, they were able to pay with a tremendous technology boost, but they also had something else of value to share--intel. They could tell their new friends all about the other alien races in the galaxy, and they could warn the humans about the really dangerous ones. So yes, they were able to pay their way.
Humans are intelligent and curious. We often take things apart to see how they work, and will sometimes come up with improvements. If we are unable to do so, we will sometimes MacGyver a solution. I'm no engineer or tech but I have occasionally MacGyvered solutions to things I was doing. (And yes, I loved that series.)😄 Great! Now my earworm is playing the show's theme music.😄🐛🎶 Anyway Thanks for the good story!
Actually, it's not the humans. It's NASA stopping you all the time. Make it harder stalling.
ОтветитьXanzi Leader: The Humans were able to mass produce FTL drive, on a backwater planets, with a bunch of scraps!
Xanzi Scitenist: Well Im sorry, im not Human.
Right now we would send the liberal progressive Karens to cancel the Xanzi. Those aliens would be so f*ck*d, lol.
ОтветитьWe Humans just love to ignore the expectations of others.
ОтветитьYou know, I bet humans got their space fleet tactics from EVE online or similar games
Ответить"What's this do? Really? Just that? Well... let's see... yes, add that... and twiddle with this... recite some epic song to pass the time... drink some coffee... shove that over there... Hey look, Dan'ik! It's now a Star Killing Dakadaka Gun!"
Dan'ik: O_O... "We LOVE you humans!"
"Except the Humans"... yeah, we like challenges. "Oh, no-one can do that! Oh, no-one takes THAT long to make X or Y!"
"Challenge accepted."
8 billion people out of the 16 billion people on Earth today that you're not telling you about of course there was six and a half billion people in China in 1996 and that is on document and 1 billion in the second largest population area which has a billion and a half today that does not account for any other person on the planet so what about the 16 billion it's on Earth today and only eight billion of them to tell me about besides that they're lying to you saying that there's only 8 billion.
ОтветитьPov: bumble bees befriend hornets and you just kicked the nest.

ОтветитьOriginally, the Xansi were the second most powerful fleet in the world, I mean Coalition . . . .after the United States, I mean the rest of the Coaltion.
Then, after fighting Ukraine, dammit, I mean the Terran Union, they were the second most powerful fleet in Sol system.
Now, they are the second most powerful fleet in the Xansi Empire.
Xanzi: that's my dreadnaught
Earth: our
The Xanzi attacked a specie unable to defend itself. Then, the refugee got sent to Earth. What can you expect will happen next ? The Humans get the FTL technology essentially for free. The Humans now know about the Xanzi and their warlike attitude. So, the Humans prepare to meet the Xanzi with a vengeance and intent of avenging their new interstellar friends.
The Xanzi made a HUGE error. A fatal error.
Never underestimate human will power and tenacity.
ОтветитьThis is just ridiculous, why were the humans suddenly just so much better than everyone else, nothing is explained?
ОтветитьGreetings, as a stupid speaker from another language, what software are you using? I'm curious so i can translate and read stories in my own language. (french if anyone less stupid than me can take the place before me)
ОтветитьI absolutely love this story. Give humanity a common goal/a common enemy, and we can unite and do wonders. And of course we take our friendships seriously.
ОтветитьXanzi: We are powerful warriors.
Humanity: Hold my beer.
Thank you for the reading
ОтветитьHooman see, hooman take
Ответить“Human marines, in tow”
Oh god they are so fucked
Humanity's slow advance to space is not do to a lack of intelligence, but rather a lack of proper motivation. And nothing motivates humans like a new ally, and a mutual threat.
The Dan'ik were the inspiration humanity needed to get their house in order and properly establish itself as an Astro-Industrial Power.
The Xanzi were the inspiration humanity needed to establish itself as an Astro-Military Power.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door."
The New Colossus by Emma Lazarus.
Humans are an annoying little species, aren't we? Never doing what we are expected to do. Here is a like and comment to help your channel grow and get you the recognition you deserve.
ОтветитьHumanity would absolutely NOT take in 10 billion alien refugees.
Sometimes these things become too wanky.
This is one of the lowest effort stories to get uploaded here.
All of us can be dark. But if you leave us alone and treat us good you generally won’t have to worry about it. But if you push you may find yourself in difficulty and wish you hadn’t. Survival of the fittest requires cooperation but when that doesn’t work it requires the strongest survives. That’s why it’s in all of us.
ОтветитьThese stories of human intergalactic badassery are mighty gratifying to read. And the decent narration helps.
Ответитьah yes, large family carriers
ОтветитьThat was very funny! But it gives us way to much credit.
ОтветитьListen, I’m stronger than ants, but I would never go digging into an anthill😂
Ответитьi like to imagine the Danik are also cute. Like they remind Humans of Cats or Deer or something and 8 billion humans, on top of the joy of all this new tech, just went "PROTECT THE TALKING FLUFFIES!"
ОтветитьIt's always fun to see stories like this. Stories of how much humanity's craving for the stars seems to exceed the similar desire of other races.
They just dropped hundreds of years of advancements on us, and a blatant injustice. The fire lit at that moment, in the souls of mankind, would have blotted out the Sun could they have physically seen it
I'm disappointed that this story doesn't ever go into why humans are so superior, or why the aliens are inferior. Usually, these stories at least mention that humans are sturdier or stronger or something. I'm not against stories about humans being awesome. But what's the point if you never explain it?
The aliens are super slow at building ships, but their planet's infrastructure is so good that ten billion is a small population?
The humans instantly upgrade technology because...? I know they had something to reverse-engineer, but this is saying they reverse-engineered and vastly improved those engines in, like, a month. Meanwhile, we've been working on fusion power for decades.
Human marines invade enemy ships and instantly know how to operate them flawlessly? Even if the Xanzi computers have less security than an iPhone, everything on those ships would be written in a language the human race only learned existed 400 days ago. Maybe the humans took the bridge crew hostage and forced them to pilot the ship? We'll never know.
And, apparently, Earth can, with no warning at all, easily absorb seven billion refugees... So I guess we're failing so hard at the current human refugee crisis because we just don't want to? Well, I guess that checks out, but it makes it even sadder.
We are the defenders of Humanity, we are the Emperors blazing sword and the Imperium’s crushing fist, hundreds of billions of hands ready to die for our mission in the cold unforgiving of space, we are the Imperial Navy!
ОтветитьHumans love conflict, especially if they get to be heroes while involved in it. Refugee aliens bringing news of a hostile enslaving empire? Might as well be Christmas.
