The Russian skaters are robotic skating maniquins..Seriously they all look alike!! They lack the individual personality of skaters like Tonya Harding,Midori Ito,Debi Thomas,Michelle Kwan..Also the quads and triple axels are like a trick mentality and take away the elegence and beauty of true Figure Skating..sadly the sport of Gymnastics is going in the same direction with impossible difficult moves,making routines into a circus act..

This performance will go down in the history of ladies figure skating as one of the greatest routines ever.

Her choreography and execution are the best I’ve seen. Literally incredible.

If she skates clean, both of her programs should score higher than Scherbakova’s in my opinion. Her artistry is just incomparable. And whenever she jumps, although she’s capable of falling, I feel so sure that she’s going to land them.

It's like we're just watching them skating around, waiting for them to do their triple axel, triple lutz, flutz or putz, and then the audience reacts like they've been jabbed by a red hot poker. Kind of dull, really.

‘Sports’ like Figure Skating, Gymnastics ... or any that require a panel of judges to attribute points based on performance, will always be subject to bias. That is why if I were an athlete, I would choose to compete in a sport that is decided by fastest, farthest or strongest. Also, Individual and not team preferably so that any victory or defeat would be based solely on my effort or lack thereof, and not another’s. The list is Long of great Athletes who have missed out on victories due to bad judges or team mates.

Zagitova shoulve have gotten no more than 10 PCS. She is even SLOWER than Caroline Zhang and Alysa Liu. SCANDALOUS PCS. This should have gotten 85+ PTS SCANDAL.

I really don't understand what Happened here???? Trusova scored better and should not have, I mean she's good in her own right but surely didn't do better than this AND the triple axle looked spot on????

the new F U to skaters is low GOE and under-rotated . all depends on what ur name is in this sport. i always go back to patrick chan and all his huge mistakes and high scores ! He was and will always be the most overscored skater in history.

It's so wonderful to see a skater place so much emphasis on the artistic component of her routine this day and age where the technical aspects are so emphasized. She may not be the skater with the highest technical scores, but she more than makes up for it with her artistry. So beautiful and very much appreciated by this viewer.

If that axel was under rotated then they need to stop ratifying so many of the quads being landed just shy of full rotation.

I’m surprised by the scores! I was expecting her to get 85 points! With this generation of skating she should have gotten at least over 80! With a Triple Axel and A Triple Flip Triple Toe Loop combination in the second half of the program, she should have gotten so much higher.

Her Lutz looked like it was on a slight outside edge and her Flip and Lutz are both toe assisted here. I seems like she is improving despite being with Eteri.
