During Spring Break, I had the chance to go to Pennsylvania. While I was there I visited Scranton. In Scranton you will find Steamtown National Historic Site. On the other side of the Steamtown parking lot, you will find the Electric City Trolley Museum. I rode the first ride of the 2022 season (4/21/22) with no mask restrictions. During the season, April - October, the trolley ride runs Thursday - Sunday. Sometimes the trolley will run for special events before season starts and after the season ends. It is a 10 mile round trip excursion and the whole trip takes about 55 minutes. It is a scenic trip and it follows a portion of the Lackawanna and Wyoming Valley Railroad. A notable part of the trip is going through the Crown Avenue Tunnel which is 4,747 feet long. It is one of the Longest Interurban Tunnels ever made.
On this ride we were riding on Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Co. Car #76 which is the car used on a majority of the excursions although Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Co. car #80 is used sometimes.
