Orbx Iceland - Stunning Scenery! | REAL PILOT | Skytitude Thorshofn - Full Flight | MSFS

Hey - I have an EVGA RTX 2080 with built in water cooling so not the top of the heap but, not bad. Can't play in ultra stutters so hard around nice content like this. Maybe it's my resolution? I tried a myriad of in-between High and Ultra settings which eh, sort of improve but not really.

👍👍 Very nice and smooth and so procedural it's also a nice tutorial. But when you said, "Have to slow down to 135 knots to lower the gear", I had to laugh. Way back in the day my then brand new 1981 Cessna Cutlass RG had a max cruise of 135 knots and I thought that was fast. Haha! Of course the sleek compact Avgas sipping Mooney 201 of that era was the GA speed demon in that class, named for its speedy 201 MPH. OK enough rambling. Keep 'em coming! 😁

PMS50 you can pay for its about 25 quid for a year. And you can use integrated Navigraph charts if you are subscribed to it.

Great video. I'm not sure the GTN750 is still free though.

The PMS50 GTN750 consists of a free base package and a (rather pricey) premium package which adds features like Navigraph integration and airways.

25 minutes into a video titled as being about scenery before we see any scenery?

it may just be me but I can't seem to do the tour because everytime i get to s specific point in the tour route MSFS crashes. even durign free flight if I go to that area of iceland it goes right to desktop crash. is this just me? is there a fix ? :)

Just wondering how you managed to get the RW weather readouts in the GTN. I followed the instructors and put my activation key into the unit but each location I try, it comes up with no weather available!

Thanks for the beautiful ride. I also really enjoy flying in Iceland with the Orbx scenery. I use the Socata TB21 but the Mooney is also great for that. I wonder if the artefacts we see on the left side on the hill flank when you land are due to the Orbx mesh. Regarding the power setting, I usually fly lean of peak with the Mooney. It doesn't lose a lot of power but the gph drops to 9-10 at around 5000ft with about 21in of MP.

Iceland actually has become one of my favourite regions to fly in. Such a stunning country!

Although I probably should look for some new regions to fly in...

That terrain LOD pop-in on the left during approach is brutal, I hope that improves over time.

Beautiful video! I had the same artifacts with the initial version of the mesh, but Orbx has released an update that fixed it for me.

Excellent video, nothing more relaxing than flying above scenery like that, even if it is in just a sim (which looks incredible). I have the Mooney but didn't have the Orbx Iceland Mesh, going to get that now, thanks!

Nice flight. Reminds me I need to take the Mooney out more often, it's a nice little plane. Hate to get all hipster on you but I was landing at Isafjordur before it was popularised by the update. Several months before the world update and landing challenge I stumbled across this airfield during a fly about of Iceland, ended up landing there during a leg and falling in love with the location so I was mighty pleased when it got the custom upgrade in the world update! But maaaan, I was there before it was cool :hipster: ;-)
