Disappointed that we didn't see elephant archers! They make excellent tanks even when not elite, since the elite upgrade doesn't give them extra armor. A cavalry archer with +2 armor can take 10 hits from an arbalest; an elephant archer, which costs just 80 more resources, can take 60 hits. If you get +6 armor from ring archer armor and Parthian tactics, then the heavy cavalry can take 20 hits while the non-elite elephant archer can now take 300.

In comparison, battle elephants with +2 armor can take 39 hits from a heavy cav archer.

hello guys i am new in this game , i couldnt find your support email so i ll ask here , yesterday i bought the aoe 2 hd in steam and when i start play i see its kinda different from when i watch it on streams , there are alot of maps missing and also some civilizations like when i watch a stream i see ethiopians indians malay ect but i dont have those in my game why is that ? pleas answer me or give me support email , thanks

watching this in 2023 is so strange. So much has changed since then. Viewing AOE2 without DE, without captureage with sloppy dark age etc etc.

But still, with Viper and Daut (and even a Daut-Castle!)
