I'll give it a read. You really have to give it the time and respect, I find that intimidating.
One short story I read when I was a child that had an impact is Jonathan Livingston Seagull.
I can respect your range when it comes to the types of books you read. I have a distaste for Christianity from child hood trauma from it, so I have a hard time with your Bible videos but I can respect your in depth breakdowns.

Wonderful book. I read it as a teen in the 70s and several times since. Always loved the part about the arm wrestling match. Yep, book is about toughness, perseverance and dignity. Made a pretty good movie as well.
No question crazy, egotistical Ernest could WRITE. Gotta say though, Steinbeck was better.
