After a long wait my game finally arrived and I can start my 'binge watching Austin & playing at the same time' journey!

ive never played a zelda game and i just got this and got into the open world. i have no clue what to do at all😂😂

Although I have a healthy stack of Amiibos. (Is that considered cheating? Lol) This game is so huge. I think I would have payed $100 for it and got triple my money's worth!

I love Tears of the Kingdom sm, mainly because I like having things and the sound of picking up items gives me serotonin.

Didn't read all the comments to see if anyone mentioned this or not. When you find a shrine you know a light root is right below it in the depths. The name of the light root is the shrine name spelled backwards. So the light root for a shrine named Joisin would be Nisoij.

I am old and slow. Without help and mapgenie I am lost and discard every game very soon. I don't mind spoilers and I watch the story before I start. That is my way to enjoy a game and avoid frustraition.

I have just completed the second shrine, where I got the ability to fuse items. How much longer until I get to play in the Kingdom of Hyrule map?

I'm currently playing Skyward Sword HD and it bugs me how much the Zelda franchise has changed. Breathe of the Wild was the worst Zelda game so far. I've replayed Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword many of times and they're all amazing games with overworld items, heart pieces, gold skulutulas, poes to hunt down. Wtf are these new games even 😂😂 they never should've let Hidemaro Fujibayashi direct these games. There's no dungeons, key items and your swords all break? Nintendo really need to figure this out bcuz I've seen alot of people upset and after breathe of the Wild I won't buy this game 😷🤧👎

Ok so I just finished BOTW (yeah, I know.......I'm late to that party) and I'm glad I started back into my Zelda Adventures with that one lol! The last time I did any gaming was Twilight Princess back in the day on the Wii. I'm thinking about attempting TOTK but I'm skeerdt 😬 Watching this video helped me out a lot, as do all of your videos. Thank you so much for the time you put into all your content! 🙌😊 I'm still skeerdt but I'm gonna go for it this weekend! RAAAAAAWR!! 🤣

For the people (like me) who did not play BOTW first, there are some critical mechanics that are not obvious, but necessary to make the game playable and fun. 

1. Do that combat training shrine between Lookout Landing and the castle, and then practice those flurry rush and shield parry skills on enemies. Even better, look them up and practice from the very beginning of the game. It’s a critical skill, button mashing does NOT work, and the game is not fun at all until you get competent at fighting. (I almost gave up before finishing the sky island.)

2. Arrows will be a seriously scarce commodity unless you break every box you find. Save weapon durability by lifting with ultrahand as high as you can and dropping. It is super tedious but better than running out.

3. Fuse something to every weapon before using it, even if it’s just a rock. It at least doubles weapon durability, otherwise weapons will become scarce.

4. Lastly, focus on stamina rather than hearts for a good long time. Fill a second stamina ring (or more!) before getting any hearts from shrines. Stamina is a critically limiting quantity; hearts are much less important than you think.

I've finished everything...all 1000 korok seeds, all signs, all wells, all caves, all bubbul gems, all items, all shrines, all lightroots, all Yiga/Zonai schematics, and I'm still at 98.99% completion. So I've got quite a search ahead of me to figure out what I missed. It's POSSIBLE that I could've missed a couple caves that have multiple entrances.

@AustinJohnPlays thanks for these early game tips bro, I really need them as someone who played most of BOTW but never finished it but intends to finish the sequel, I must say just being thrown into Hyrule with no direction is frustrating to say the least

Also, with the horses when you find a stable, if you played BoTW and still have horses in your stable there, your horses from BotW will still be available to you!

I'm still stuck in the sky Islands at the beginning 😂. Not going to lie it's frustrating My second shrine was the one at the very top in the cold and I have very limited time to get down I can't figure it out

I should've started with Rito. I started with Zora, and Prince Sidon is insanity inducing with how often his avatar got in my way before I finally had to shut him off lol.
