You have no idea how much this helps me. Not just for this type of shot but understanding my camera better. I’ve had the camera for years, it’s a mint condition Rebel t2i in mint condition! My parents bought it in 2010 but they kinda forgot about it. I hope I can learn more. I want my car photos to come out better

Even 1/10th of a second is a long exposure. To me it's any exposure I need a tripod for and can't do it handheld

When I've tried to take longer exposures, I end up with a totally blown out pic. Looks practically white. I understand that the lens is letting in all that light for all that time. How can I correct that?

I have a Nikon 3300, it always says that the subject is too dark, is there an easy fix or setting? Good video!

Ngl i might try TV mode for long exposure car photos when I find random spots since it might save time & wanna get in & out of places quicker.

I used to take ISO 25 film, a 6 stop ND filter and take photos that I scouted out during the daytime, and capture beautiful photos with exposures ranging from 20 minutes to an hour. Instead of light trails of vehicles lights, I would see star trails with 15 degrees of arc. Once, the tech at the lab who processed my photos, posted a few of my photos on his Facebook page, claiming he took them. Only he would have triggered the four legged alarm system, but considering the fact that he still has both arms, I can assure you that he didn't.
