If that happened to my child there would be one of us in jail either them or me. People that can’t take care of children should not work in child care.

Fact: she managed to push a chair next to the door to stand on it and call for my name. And I was the only reason I was able to see her. is because shes shorter than the door

So you have to be trained as an adult to know that you're not supposed to lock up a 2 year old child and leave her alone in the dark, got it.

No whoever locked up the daycare that night should be fired. You have to do a walk through before closing so it’s impossible to miss a child being there. I am a daycare teacher that used to have to lock up. Not once have I been so distracted that I forgot a child was present. Definitely have had to stay late waiting for parents and it’s annoying but I’be never had the thought to leave a child there.

CHILDCARE IS YOUR CAREER... PRESUMABLY...you never leave an infant/ toddler/ n.e.1 5 or under alone(depending on the state- at some point they will 30 mins alone to 1.5 hrs to foster independence && whatnot.) That goes for 5 years + with parents right around the corner or pretending they can do to the playground alone, but they're being watched && it's on the corner... ii was able to fry eggs at 5 yrs old(country girl here;))

How could they do this? A 2 year old child?????? That baby had to be terrified. How could they just lock up and leave her? She was only 15 minutes late. How could they not see her? They need to be sued and prosecuted. That’s child endangerment!

You don't leave a child alone. Daycare workers need to be prepped for situations like this so that at least one adult is staying with the child until the Mother comes to get her.

I bet she was being annoying, hiding and trying to be funny. Maybe she’ll learn to follow rules.

How did that happen in the first place? Every day care my kids have been to, have a check out process. Whoever the last staff was there should be held responsible and charged with child neglect and endangerment.

Whoever locked her inside is guilty of child abuse. I'm a senior and things have certainty changed. My mom would not have stood there crying. She would have gotten her tire iron out of the trunk and bashed her way inside thru both windows.

The student check in and check out system needs to be fixed at that site. How you miss a whole child?

Mom was having a harder time of it then the child. Not good situation but the child didn't look up set as mom told it. At least in the short video. I myself would have don't the same thing calling and having someone get the door open before I did.. glad child is safe.
