I play this game on pro and for me personal 4K mode is the way, there is no jaggies anymore, and game is sharp like knife.

This game is native 4k and 60fps on Xbox Scorpio. :) With a 11% CPU clock boost and better optimized at the silicon lvl. And a DX12 chip implemented to increase CPU performance with up to 50%. I say its totally possible.

To people that are saying average gamers don't notice.. They are wrong.

Average gamers might not notice 60 FPS but theres a reason for it. Because most console games are properly frame paced at 30 FPS, so things look kinda smooth and less jumpy. ROTR with patch 1.05 was looking jumpy and making it feel worse than 24 FPS movies.

Frame pacing is more important than framerate.

I guess the One X will have a combination of the 4K and 'Enhanced Visuals' modes. And maybe even the 'High Frame-Rate', if there's enough overhead left. I prefer the former (enhanced visuals + stable frame-rate) over a higher frame-rate.

my 11 year old niece and 13 year old nephew had no problems with rise of the tomb raider on the stock ps4. never grow up.

High Frame Rate is just the beginning. I think Boost Mode on the PS4 Pro keeps that rate stable. Can you test?

Just got a Pro yesterday and this game is beautiful on it.

So what they are basically saying is playing this on my PC at 1080p I would be better at medium graphics settings down scaled from 4k rather than very high settings at native 1080p interesting as that's what he said he prefers 4k medium over enriched even playing on 1080p display.

All these folks arguing over numbers... who gives a shit if it's a tiny bit better on PC, it's still the same game!!!

ARE YOU FREAKING FOR REAL WITH THIS?! Or to be more accurate, WERE you for real with this? The game was just one frame rate off on both versions! ONE! That’s hardly even going to noticeable to those that play this on either the PS4 or the PS4 Pro. And you consider this a problem to even enjoy the game properly? Let alone have the full to say that it’s impossible to enjoy it at this time? Come on man! I would understand if this was dropping down to the low 20s or even worse, but this is just petty. It’s the same when you made the same petty issue a few months later with Mario Kart 8 on Wii U and that’s just as petty as this was.

In 4k mode when I stand still rain drops and some other small objects shine green und purple. It's doesn't occur when there's movement, only when the camera is fixed. Is this normal with this game? Do you have the same phenomenon? In the other graphic modes than 4k, this isn't the case.

Does anyone know if the frame-pacing problem has been solved by now? Just bought a 4k TV and will start playing this beautiful game today, starting to eliminate my pile of shame from 2017's sales and looking for best graphics in terms of feel. Thanks in advance!

The High frame-rate mode is awesome, but I think they could have done better... Frame-rate is around 45 fps in most places. Anyway, I appreciate the work that Crystal Dynamics did.

Basically,
If you have a ps4, no need to upgrade to a ps4 pro
If you don't have a ps4 and are on a tight budget(<450$), get a ps4 pro.
PC is definitely better than consoles but cost more too.
Both PC(worth the extra cost) and Console(good enough for gaming on a budget) are the best for their prices.

“Impossible to enjoy”

I have a PS4 Pro and enriched visuals mode looks extremely blurry, even more than the high framerate mode. Is it just me?

Cant you just add the recommend option to your description? I have no idea what on earth your even seeing sometimes, and you just put me off.

This game looks so good but of all the PS4 Pro games I’ve played so far (I just got a PS4 Pro a few weeks ago), it has by far the most visible aliasing and shimmering. Even on “4K” mode.

Im late but actually play this game on pro with 4k mode and views/graphics look gorgeus in 2020! But in Russian Complex hub, game clearly slow down to 25fps.

I finalized this just yesterday on performance mode, and I knew about this video (first time seeing). Lol when I played the game was pretty smooth except two hub areas, where you can stay for 2-3% from the game, and what we have here? DR only analyzing that 2 areas. I know DF you want analyze the worst case scenario, but you are deceiving people here making to think the performance is bad option when the game is super smooth on the 97-98% of time. You did this too on god of war.

Playing through the game on my PS4 pro and so far no issues at all.. it looks fantastic and runs smoothly. I'm playing on a Samsung 4k HDR10 TV and I can't ask for more. The snow looks beautiful and Syria area was stunning to look at.

I started playing this game recently on my ps4 pro and I didn’t know about the different modes.

You guys are so full of bullshit. I have a brand new ps4 and geothermal valley is certainly not a solid 30fps, in certain areas it drops noticeably.

I wonder if they would every release a ps5 patch to change the high frame rate mode to 120 fps Max & the enriched mode added to 4k or at least with 4k at 60 fps

Man now I am really confused b/w enriched visuals and 4k mode, both have their own benefits, but which mode should I play,I have 55 inch 4k tv, 1080p will look on it, but 4k doesn't have Enriched visuals, damn why can't they give enriched visuals on 2k atleast, damn 1080p gaming looks horrible on large 4k displays
