Don't ORDER a NEW C8! Here's WHY...

It's so hard to find a good spec though. The dealerships will get close, but then miss something pretty big. We have a local dealer that's offering 8k off a 2024. I like the spec, except they went cheap on the interior and didn't put in a front lift. Just such a bummer. Also... I kinda like that new Habanero interior. o.O

Complete junk and if you buy an older one half the bottom of the car has to come out just to change the clutch!!!!😮

If I'm spending 100k+, I'm ordering exactly what I want. If I could find exactly that on a showroom floor, cool. But unlikely....

Most people who buy them have a bunch of money so it doesn't matter.

Last Wednesday I found a dealership Capitol Chevrolet in Austin Texas Initially, I was eager to acquire a 2024 C8 Corvette at a discounted price of $7,700 below MSRP. Salesperson Alexis facilitated a remote vehicle evaluation via video. Upon revealing my plan to pay half upfront and finance the balance through my bank, the dealership incorporated hidden fees and unwanted protection plans, adjusting the price. Alexis offered two options: paying full MSRP or financing through them at an interest rate nearly triple that of my bank, justifying the additions based on the reduced price, which constitutes deceptive marketing.
Additionally, they attempted to impose unwanted features and misrepresented military discount eligibility criteria for Corvette purchases. So I went to my local dealer and they have 4 allocations I ordered te way I wanted and is a 2925 I don’t mind the waiting

I am paying cash for my 2025 Z06 with trim level 3LZ and color red tint metallic convertible with natural color interior. Also doing the Corvette Museum reveal. I figure if you are paying 90k for a Corvette just go all the way and get what you really want and like.

Today 10/18/24 I found 2,203 used C8s on CarMax. On CarGurus I found 3,212 used C8s. Why buy a new C8 with all the almost new used cars for sale. I found some LT3 HTC C8s in the low to mid $70,000 range.

Can they combine GM employee discount + %10 off?

What's not mentioned is that unsold new cars at the end of a model year are worth less. The moment you drive it off the lot you now have a year old car that will impact resale value down the road. I knew this going in when I ordered a 2023 HTC in May of 2023 (at MSRP) to be delivered in August 2023. To my chagrin after owning the Corvette for a little over a year I now have a 2 year old car. Not to say leftovers are bad just keep this in mind when you negotiate the price I am still very happy with my purchase

Seen some for 65,000 msrps. Used tho. Some got like 5000 miles or less at that price. 🤷🏾

Does anyone know if GM is FINALLY offering the employee discount on C8's?

Good content, however I am pretty sure you could order exactly what you want and get same discount level and get what you want, and likely would only have to wait 45 to 90 days, not 15 months or longer like I did in 2020. People need to understand supply and demand pricing, and we are nearing a saturation point as well, GM can build more than market is demanding so prices are down, good news on several levels, like now there will be more ZO6s and Erays built, as they build fewer Stingrays, and as new models come onto market, ZR1, Grandsport, which will be coming soon. What we have seen in last 4 years in Car market in general will likely never happen again. They were selling Silverado, Serria pickups, most SUVs for MSRP and several dealers were charging over MSRP for vehicles now that you can get 5 - 10k or more off. We are back to normal market conditions.

"Really nice builds" does not translate to ....YOUR build. I just spent $133,000 for a 2025 Eray and I could not imagine buying a dealer's build instead of my own. For that kind of money, why in the world would you want to settle?

Great video! My first vette was a C7 off the lot which was great! I wanted to order my C8 as I never had the opportunity to order a car from scratch. Got specifically what I wanted in four months. (2023) All your points are valid and if I was buying today I would highly consider buying off the lot. 👍😎

Hopefully once the zr1 hits the market, z06 prices will plummet & I’ll trade in my c8 😂

Bowling Green is Building so many Corvettes without buyers. The market is filled with Corvettes that nobody wants and the end result is big discounts. $20K off of M.S.R.P on the Z06 or E-Ray will be here real soon and this winter there will be even better deals. If you can wait it’s only going to get better for the buyers. The stealerships took advantage of you early on now the advantage is with the buyers and will be like that until the C9 comes out and this crazyness will start all over again. My advice is get your dream car and keep it and enjoy it.

One other negative of not buying new is you often don’t get exactly what you want especially if there are new 2025 features as in color or blue stitching, etc. To me, it’s worth the wait/cost especially when you’re spending this much money for a dream car.

Last weekend, I bought an 2024 HTC 1LT for 6k under sticker. Look on the Chevy website, there are a few thousand sitting on lots around the country.

Smashed !!!!!!!!!!

Those cars will come down a little more, but not much.
