I’m not sure why people didn’t understand that I’m only talking about artists that haven’t released a new record in 30 years last. The last time I checked the Rolling Stones released a record last year. Same goes for a lot of the bands that people are saying in the comments.
ОтветитьThe Beatles, Queen ( with Freddie ) , maybe Elton John ,
ОтветитьThank you for introducing me to blackbird. Never heard it before
ОтветитьBowie
Ответитьah come on Zep
ОтветитьSKYNYRD, MARSHALL TUCKER BAND, CHARLIE DANIELS BAND, ALLMAN BROS.
ОтветитьRush
ОтветитьWhere is metallica ?
ОтветитьNo Led Zeppelin?
ОтветитьUnless you have a time machine you have no idea who will be played in 2100, and if people will survive that long
ОтветитьNo new Beatles albums for 55 years. I still cannot believe the range and variety of their songs. But, having 3 distinctive lead singers, who could harmonise beautifully, and 3 magical songwriters, plus the ability (with George Martin) to create some of the catchiest backing tracks ever, is just, well let's be honest, plain cheating.
ОтветитьClassic rock music will still be played a couple of hundred years from now like Mozart or Bach .
ОтветитьDire Straits
ОтветитьCheap Trick
ОтветитьI think you're overrating how important the number of views will mean for historic relevance.
AC/DC are iconic for a whole genre. Several of their songs have become rock anthems. Their library will be used in commercials, sporting events, movies, and of course rock radio as long as people want to rock out. Back in Black and Thunderstruck, while not necessarily their best songs, will be played 1000 years from now, along with others from their library.
AC DC RUSH CCR Judas Priest
ОтветитьI'm here to complain that Boston and Blue Oyster Cult are not on the list. Let me play the video first though 🤔
ОтветитьINXS may be in that category too. Timeless with one of the best frontmen ever.
ОтветитьIron maiden will be more popular once they are gone...
ОтветитьEverything goes in cycles. I'd say there are truly 3 bands: Beatles, Nirvana, and Led Zeppelin
ОтветитьFoo fighters
ОтветитьNirvana are trash... period.
ОтветитьHighly disagree.
I think the beatles and queen surely be around musically in 100 years. The other 2 probably between led zeppelin, guns n roses, pink floyd, metallica, .. simply cause these bands are more popular worldwide unlike nirvana, the police that have concentrated fanbase mainly in us/uk. Even linkin park, coldplay, bon jovi are FAR more popular than nirvana, the police in asia.
also not sure if abba counts as a band. they are popular af
You forgot Alice Cooper. He'll be relevant in 2100. He still puts new stuff out every few years.
Ответить1) Led Zeppelin 2) Led Zep 3) LZ 4) Zeppelin
Ответитьsometime I would really like to hear a critique on Guns and Roses, I suspect your not a fan I'd like to know why, thank you great videos.
ОтветитьREMEMBER THE MYSTIC ASTROLOGIC CRYSTAL BAND. 1967,& 1968. RON ROMAN/STEVE HOFFMAN.
ОтветитьWith Queen I think it boils down to literally nobody else sounds like that. Plus you got great players at every instrument and of course Freddie he's just a great singer and with those crazy harmonies when the boys sing together it's a kind of magic
ОтветитьQueen, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones are the 4 timeless bands.
ОтветитьNot a group, but Elvis is definitely in this camp.
ОтветитьNot sure about this one, The police in a 100 years, I don’t know. The Beatles for sure, Pink Floyd (not in your list) for sure. Queen yes Nirvana yes, more than Led Zeppelin I don’t know
ОтветитьFor me its ELO and Allan Parsons Project. Can't stop listening to them.😁
ОтветитьWon't be listening to any of these in 2050
ОтветитьUh hello??? The Grateful Dead!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьWhat about Pink Floyd the dark side of the moon?
ОтветитьThe Doors 10.6 million.
ОтветитьI was born in 1985 and I started listening to the Beatles at 4 because my parents had all of their cassettes and records. It was basically those,CCR and a random British Invasion compilation. The next time I heard something that stuck with me, it was From the muddy banks of the wishkah CD around 10. I played that thing non stop
ОтветитьSADE
ОтветитьQueen is the greatest band on earth..period
Ответить100% Journey. I know they have released new material somewhat recently but we are coming up on 45 years since Don’t Stop Believin’ was released and it’s much bigger now than when it was released…and probably known by four generations now. Their music is so so timeless and it doesn’t hurt that their singer - Steve Perry - is the greatest singer of our lifetimes. A number of years ago, I asked my four daughters what current musicians would still matter 30 years from now. They thought hard about it and had a very hard time coming up with anyone other than Adele - they did not even think Taylor Swift would matter and some of them love her. They all agreed, though that Journey would still matter 30 years from now… and probably longer.
ОтветитьPeople don’t listen to the Police now? Wedding songs don’t count…
ОтветитьThe show must go on
ОтветитьFoo fighters is over rated, the modern day KISS.
ОтветитьHey, it’s better to burn out than to fade away, I think someone said that once…
ОтветитьBeatles, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Nina Simone, St. Vincent, Pere Ubu...the theory being people will eventually catch up with the last two hub.
ОтветитьMichael Jackson - 46,409,810
Fleetwood Mac - 34,226,719
Creedence Clearwater Revival - 28,435,057
Whitney Houston - 25,841,942
Bob Marley & The Wailers - 23,750,613
The Bee Gees
ОтветитьSo bands that had big novelty singles are more successful on Spotify than artists that made albums. It speaks to declining attention spans. The Beatles were a cultural phenomenon but the other three are artists I actively dislike.
ОтветитьPink Floyd, Led Zeppelin.
ОтветитьMakes the classic mistake of social scientists who look at data in the world today and assume that predicts the distant future. Many variables that are not now apparent (or might not even yet exist) will appear to influence this list by 2100.
