I wish the Dell 40" IPS black ultrwide had sub-1 ms response timing. I dont need 240hz refresh rates, and preventing oled burn-in sounds like a hassle and potentially futile.
Ответитьcan you put on monitor arm?
ОтветитьIf you didnt have this ultrawide right now and you knew these issues, would you still buy this monitor?
ОтветитьAnyone know if Dell is working on new version on this monitor?
ОтветитьHow much ambient light is to much. Does it lose black under normal living room celling light
ОтветитьDoes anyone else have this?
Just got the monitor and I have 2 weird red dots on the bezel at the top right and left corner. searched the entire web for an answer and even Dell themselves could give me one.
What about color fringing? its heavy on this model?
ОтветитьI bought one of these monitors over the Labor Day holiday and I am quite impressed with its performance thus far. After playing Warhammer 40,000 Darktide and Killing Floor 2 on the thing I can say that I do not regret buying this display. The colors pop like I have never seen before and the blacks and other dark hues are inky dark. Images in the games are striking and the gentle 1800r curve is not too extreme for my eyes. All in all, I am quite happy with the purchase.
ОтветитьYour ideal wishlist is the same as mine. Thanks for putting it out there.
ОтветитьWhat monitor arm would you recommend for this monitor ?
ОтветитьWould it be a good gaming/video editing monitor (Premiere Pro)? Thanks in advance!
ОтветитьGuys, what about the Fan noise ? i also want to buy this monitor... Or shall i wait for 2025 models?
ОтветитьI do have found my first burn-in vertical line after 10 months, from which only 8 of use. It is only noticeable in some range of dark grey colours. For exaple, dark mode in YT or new tab of Firefox.
I never thought this could happen since I have an extremely care. 1 minute desktop screen saver mode, and still... disapointing .
This review was flawless and answered all my questions about text clarity regarding this monitor and other OLED monitors. You are an asset to the monitor industry, thank you
ОтветитьCan anyone compare this qd oled ultrawide to any newer ones like from msi/ gigabyte?
ОтветитьI could get that thing for about 655,- €. Should I buy it, even when it's already 2 years on the market?
ОтветитьHad this monitor for 9 months. Just went on my PC today to notice a nasty burn in with my screen. Contacted Dell and they got a new one coming in for replacement tomorrow! The support via Dell was a nightmare get hold of for some reason but was able to get me a new one. Biggest tip with this display please set your computer to sleep! I abused the crap out mine and yep had a massive burn in from my wall paper which was pretty bad on grey screens.
Ответитьhi, i do have the little brother AW3423DWF since 1 year now and been watching your videos that talks about it since last year, if u don't mind answering
don't u think in sdr mode something it's off while using gamma 2.2 with creator mode rgb colors? it's the one i always have been using and not sure about what is it but to my eyes the general image tend to be less constrasted and colors maybe a bit grey almost like they're not so alive compare to 2.0 gamma and 2.4... also i stop updating since M3B104, have u kept testing the monitor after your last hdr fix video from 1 year ago? any significant change or raccomandation to have the best from this monito in and off hdr mode? appriciate your time!
Since we can't seem to get that 39 QD-OLED 5120x2160 Ultrawide 240Hz that we all want, I'm thinking about getting an LG 42 inch C4 just so I can repurpose it as a tv when the monitor I really want finally comes out. I've had Dell's older 34 inch curved ultrawide for some years now and the current Oled ultrawide, while looking tempting, feel more like a stop gap to what I really want.
ОтветитьWhat about to work with text, coding on Mac. Is it bad? No one can say clearly about text clarity on dark background
Ответитьwhats the new features on the newest FW update B107? You don't like the 32" non wide format monitor? I have the aw3423dwf and I was thinking in replacing it with the 32" oled 4k.
ОтветитьNice follow-up video.
ОтветитьI just bought this monitor for a great price on closeout. Your review was helpful in my decision. I've subscribed in hopes that you'll keep me updated on widescreen OLEDs. 😁Thanks, and all the best.
ОтветитьExcuse my isolation--but what were the 2 game cut scenes featured at around 1.32 and 1.40?
ОтветитьJust returned one due to a noisey fan. Nice monitor otherwise but the fan noise was unbearable, personally I'm glad I didn't keep it. The lack of a sharpness option is very annoying, I got very used to a 4k 27" monitor so everything else has to low of a PPI for my eyes. if you are upgrading from a lower resolution it likely won't be an issue.
Ответить500Hours, thats only 13Weeks of working in an office. So Burning after only 3Months 😞
So QD is nothing for office workers / engineers.
(This monitor anyway is not: The low height wastes to much desktop space for e.g. Software Developers and Engineers.)
Thanks for the update. It's well appreciated!
ОтветитьShould I buy the DW or DWF?
ОтветитьThe line you are experiencing might be due to the Black Equalizer. It would be great if you could check on this! Turning it off and on again usually helps for a short while, though I am getting this line and figured that the right side of the monitor is a tad bit darker then the left side... which looks like there is only the line in the middle, but actually is another issue.
ОтветитьCan anyone clarify what the text clarity is actually like for Word documents etc.
ОтветитьHow do you clean it? No mater what I use I get streaks. I've tried a microfiber towel w/ water, with Windex, I used a monitor cleaning kit with soft shammy like wiping block. No matter what I use, I have streaks. I have the AW3423DWF. I use wallpaper engine that has a moving background and have no burn-in.
ОтветитьI have this monitor has burn in badly.
Ответитьwhat about dead pixels??
ОтветитьLove the update! I've been eyeing one of these monitors since they released but couldn't ever justify the price at $799+. Just ordered the DWF version directly from Dell for 580 (plus tax) on Black Friday sale and a 10% off code, and am really looking forward to getting it in!
ОтветитьUgh. My G9 Neo (Original, not OLED) died recently and exactly what you described pretty much sums up exactly what I'd like too: a 21:9, 4k-Class (5120x2160) 30-something-inch.
I can't fathom why everything that does find its way to market is always a stupid compromise in some way or another.
1 year in, no burn in, but, i hate the matience with it. Now i dont care abut oled panel matience, i will let die on its own now.
Ответитьis there much diference between the AW3423DW and the AW3423DWF?
Ответитьawesome monitor but killed my eyes, had to return it.
ОтветитьJust received mine. Omg, eye porn coming from gygabyte ultrawide va panel. Worth every 1130 aud.
ОтветитьGreat videos man, because of them I bought it and I'm loving the monitor so far. But after a few months of use I still can only get Variable Refresh Rate to work on Battlefield 1 and 5. Any idea what I'm doing wrong that's stopping from getting it to work on any other games?
ОтветитьI wonder if dell will void burn in warranty on my new dwf if i dont do pixel refresh as monitor prompts me to every 4 hours? Did not expect that and its annoying af. Saying that monitor is spectacular.
Ответитьis it possible to make a video on how to tweak the settings to get the most accurate colors for gaming ?
ОтветитьI just got the AW3423DWF during black friday sale for $630 and very very happy with it so far. the 3 year burn-in warranty is the main reason I went with dell. A lot of others only have a 1 year warranty. The 4 hour pixel refresh is a bit annoying with the pop up but I still do it as soon as it asks. I mostly play single player games that can be paused so I just pause my game and do the refresh and watch yt or something on my second monitor while it does that :P
ОтветитьI purchased one when they first came out, the one I had experienced burn in after a bout a year but Dell sent me a replacement with no costs to me. Honesty I was super impressed with Dell's replacement program. The replacement has had no issues. Overall this monitor is AMAZING. I personally prefer the gloss finish.
Ответитьi should never have listened to the review , i did buy this screen and the PPP (109) of this screen is so disgusting, you have to put the screen so far so you dont see the pixels. for that price this is ridiculous it is only decent to game but for desktop it does look horrible.
ОтветитьTim i have the 27gs Lg one and 480 hours total time with 50% brightness . I do not use side by side windows . Rarely . Let's say totally 30 - 40 hours ? Maybe not even that. I do also have a thin vertical line visible in 5-15% grey slides , exactly where side by side windows collide . I also have one or two these kind of lines right and left of monitor if i look closely . Are u sure that this line isn't some defect other than burn in ? At 200 hours is unlikely even in yours case to be burn in . Maybe some sort of the usual vertical banding , or even some manufacturing process that causes these lines.
ОтветитьHi, thanks for all the awesome videos!
Your recent video of top gaming monitors 2024 made me interested in the AW3423DWF, and i bought it today on sale for 830 usd.
Anyway, do you have any settings recomendations for the monitor, or any guides that you yourself has made or someones elses youve used?
Merry christmas!
Is it possible to run this monitor in normal aspect for games i dont want in ultra wide? :) Like Shooters :)
ОтветитьI'm waiting on the updated panel that he said he would consider upgrading to. 21: 9 4K 240 hertz QD OLED
Ответить
