Do you have any tattoos?
ОтветитьI'm a bit late to the video, but I wanted to say I enjoyed it so much! I love the first red velvet one. I recently found a scrap of fabric at a thrift store that looked exactly like that material and i'm kind of obsessed with it now!
ОтветитьI saved up money for a few months to buy a ZP, but it got scratched on the third day. I cried so much, and then my boyfriend bought me a bag from luxrul for me to carry alternately. Anyway, there are so many bags on the street, so as long as others can't see it, I think it's fine. The thought is there.
ОтветитьIf you shorten your skirt you could do a really thick hem and use the excess to hem face the opening to hide the white side?
ОтветитьOn the boots situation I would try just removing the leather from the inside or taking it to a shoe repair and letting them do it or have it redone but that maybe expensive for . ❤I just love your style it tugs at my ❤. You could try getting a leather repair kit for smaller holes . Like a leather chair repair kit. But on the tall open tie ones I would try and just remove it.
Ответитьwow wonderful you are with your cute outfits.. you bring sunshine
ОтветитьI wouldn’t peel off the plastic bits that are falling off on the shoes. I would try to find some leather glue or sealer. I think peeling it off would make the shoes disintegrate faster. I know that crafters always seal things with modpodge. You can find it in the craft stores. Maybe something like that Exists for leather specifically. If not i would modgpodge a small section and then watch how it wears before i did more.
ОтветитьI love watching your videos! As someone who lived through that era, I still love the fashions, big hair, the accessories, the music, and the freedom to dress with eclectic boho style.
Not too long ago I was caregiver to an elderly woman who regaled me with stories of her life in London in the 1960s and working with the design team for Mary Quant. She was a young single mom at that time and looking break into the fashion industry. She had the good fortune to meet a design team who in turn referred her to Mary Quant. She received an invitation to come to London and work which she did and, as she related to me, she had the time of her life. Now in her 80s, she says it’s the one achievement that she’s the most proud of. She told me a lot about the development of the Mod style and working with various new materials, fabrics, and innovative designs. She loved my 60s style and gave me advice and pointers to really achieve the look.
You’re young enough to enjoy the shorts dresses and form fitting styles whereas I’m an old woman now and would never be able to pull that off successfully. Thanks for your inspiration and keeping the era alive and thriving.
The outfits are so cute! I've been following you for a few years now, but I'm not sure if you have any type of video on how you wash/maintain/care for your vintage clothes? I thought of that when you spoke of keeping up the shoes for future generations. Also, would love the bag video😊
ОтветитьThe cooler will put a zip in.😊
ОтветитьMake your skirt into a dress.😊
ОтветитьYes what's in your bag.😊
ОтветитьCool pieces Em.😊

ОтветитьThey are all beautiful like you doll
I am 5 foot 5 💐💐❤️
Hi Emma, loved the haul! That first embroidered velvet piece was my favorite though 🖤. My recent vintage thrift finds were a handmade 60s or 70s knit mini dress (it has that really good Avocado green in it) for $6 and a pair of handmade plaid elephant bellbottoms probably from the 70s for $4. I was so excited!
ОтветитьI love all these finds they all suit you very well❤, I have been spending a little too much time on Vinted lately, just way to many beautiful 70s clothes on there ❤
ОтветитьGroovy, groovy woman & she sets me free❤
ОтветитьBeautiful collection of clothes and the white hat really suits you👌. The who's Tommy album on top of your record player🌼
ОтветитьA decent cobbler should be able to put a zipper in those boots!! And I like to rub off everything that peels off and then just wear the shoe lol ❤
Very lovely haul, all the garments seem very YOU ❤❤❤❤
Enjoying your presentation and taking an early lunch from work today, so this works out. Have a great day.
BTW- Did my run to Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs and Englishmen this morning. First time listening to the full album. I didn't realize Rita Coolidge sang on it. Really good album that you and Abby mentioned on the Dolls podcast. Thanks for bringing it back to my attention.
❤
