I'll always have a soft spot for the NX-01. Other Star Trek hero ships would all be sleek and spacious and sci-fi looking. But something about how cramped and almost threadbare the NX-01 felt that made it feel like an actual star ship. This was a ship made with function in mind first and comfort second because humanity was still very, very new to the stars. It gave it a very unique feel and actually made the era it lived in feel unique compared to OST and TNG
ОтветитьI wonder at what point they started adding cetacean labs? Probably not until TNG time. I bet the cetacean's training program at Starfleet academy was interesting.
ОтветитьMoore Manor
ОтветитьHi there, have you ever considered to lands this enterprise to the underwater spaceports as flexible residential system, similar to floating cities.
ОтветитьI find it very unlikely that the NX-01 had VIP visitors or dignitary quarters onboard, and that those spaces would be utilized for something more utilitarian. This can be backed up by the episode "Fallen Hero" and Ambassador V'Lar's stay onboard Enterprise, where Hoshi was required to vacate her stateroom, striping it bare to provide a more spartan atmosphere. If VIP staterooms were available V'Lar would have assigned to one of those, made spartan or not.
ОтветитьI think of all the Star Trek videos on all the ships, this was the first one that addressed 💩
ОтветитьI kept waiting for him to say wascally wabbit!
ОтветитьWhy do you need a deflector at FTL? You warp space to get around the FTL problem in the first place. Objects hitting the ship at FTL would be at infinite energy ie would do more than dent the hull like in voyager.
Ответитьnice gamma on the ent clip, nice and bright
ОтветитьHere's a suggestion: the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Enterprise -- which played a part in the 4th film -- would seem like a good vessel to depict n one of your excellent deck-by-deck videos. How about it?
Ответитьu make me watch the series again... luck I have it all on my pc.great job ...
ОтветитьIf i had 300.000.000 i would build this ship
ОтветитьStill one of my favourite Enterprises!
ОтветитьHey, in Star Trek catwalk second season they were able to access the war cell and live up in there for several days
ОтветитьBro if I was a young ensign serving on that ship I would have gotten lost so many times just based on your diagrams
Ответитьgood
ОтветитьFantastic in depth look! Love it!
ОтветитьWHERES THE VAULT?!??
ОтветитьThanks, great video
Ответитьbarring a few errors as some have already mentioned, id also like to mention the lack of doors showing how they entered each area throughout the ship, other than that, what a fantastic model
ОтветитьI didn't realize that it was that big compared to the original Enterprise.
ОтветитьThank you for this video on the best ship in Star Trek.
ОтветитьYour measurements for the ships are wrong. The Voyager is only 66m in height.
ОтветитьIt's uninhabitable, that means NOT HABITABLE. Inhabitable means it CAN BE HABITATED. Just like inflammable means able to burn.
ОтветитьAbsolutely brilliant. Great work on this one. Best one yet, and i could only find one tiny error. Which is outstanding cos I make it a point to spot them. You mentioned the pylons and nacelle catwalk were only accessible with EV suits. Not so. As long as the warp engines were powered down the catwalk was accessible without specialist protective equipment, and the pylons were always accessible.
ОтветитьThere was only one station at the conn of NX-01. Also, the science station faced the captain - not the wall.
ОтветитьI operated the right hand spin deuteron, faraday cups. The main frame was a PDP. 08
ОтветитьGreat job!!
Ответитьwhere is the warp core and main engineering? or did i miss something?
ОтветитьI always thought Voyager was, like, half that size, LOL!
ОтветитьLove your videos thank u sou mutch🎉
ОтветитьI love how bathrooms are shown. Would love to see where the mess hall and each main character's quarter are.
Ответитьwhere is the transporter deck
ОтветитьMy only issue with Enterprise was that tried too hard to connect it to 23rd and 24th century tech. They had the baby version of transporters, phasers, photon torpedoes, etc. It’s unrealistic that all of these technologies would enter service at once. It never really seemed to be a limiting factor. I would have liked to have seen them struggle in a striped down environment a bit more.
Ответитьput small ship turrets on pistons and then they can deploy just like the nx 01's phase cannon did🤣
ОтветитьWhen the series came out my first impression was what a beautiful and outstanding realistic design.
ОтветитьThis is pretty cool, but where do they use the bathroom.
ОтветитьGreat overview! Very informative. Keep at it!
ОтветитьDoes anyone know the specs for the shuttle bay and what different shuttles could fit inside the ship. I'm making a story of my own and want to use this ship but need to know the shuttle that would fit inside it
ОтветитьIs rather sad that Deck G was never used, would have been suitable occasionally in the show and would have given a bit of visual variety...but would have cost more money to make the sets so I understand why they didn't do that an instead hosted people in standard crew quarters.
ОтветитьWhere is the hair dresser?
ОтветитьDid he forget to animate the Airbus nose gear?
Ответить👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 that was fantastic
ОтветитьOnly one chair at the helm
Ответитьno such thing as an Enlisted officer...its just enlisted quarters.
ОтветитьWill you cover the NX-01 Refit, now made canon by the Picard series?
ОтветитьTheres allot wrong with this, where did the floor by floor breakdown come from?
Even considering the columbia was a modified NX from what the enterprise was setup. Still...
This was very impressive. One thing that confused me was that engineering appears to be two floors on the show, with ladders going up to one might call them catwalks surrounding the warp engine
