Thankyou for your great tips.💕
I'm from Geelong, Vic
You can also use pieces of plastic bags. I use grocery store ones. No residue left behind.
ОтветитьThank you for showing me that
ОтветитьI just grab some wax paper, scrunch it up a bit, rub it on whatever die I'm using and it works great. Put the crumpled up wax paper to the side and use it for the next die ;)
ОтветитьI have the most beautiful Christmas die which I had on my give away pile until I tried your tip. Parchment paper worked wonderfully. Made a bunch of Christmas cards with it. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
ОтветитьI have an old machine of Cuttlebug, I’m having trouble trying to diecut the metal thin die in the middle. I tried everything I just bought a metal plate adapter, plate a, plate b, shim, cardstock, die facing down, plate b and 2 textured paper.
ОтветитьGood afternoon! I'm making 110 Christmas cards. One part of my card is a cursive word "Christmas". ALWAYS rips as I pull it off. Your idea of the parchment paper is SO PERFECT! It truly works! And guess what? This die is cut on white card stock-and the parchment is also white- so I can use the PARCHMENT one on the next card. Two for one!! You can't tell!
thank you, thank you!
OMG I'm new to this craft and I was getting very frustrated with the pieces that weren't coming out (I hate fussy cutting lol) but the wax paper trick, now that's a game changer. THANK YOU!
ОтветитьThank you SO SO much for sharing this. I have a very intricate heart shaped die, totally a filigree design and I could not cut it out. I watched your video, tried with baking paper (Ireland) and it worked like MAGIC!
ОтветитьThanks, I really had no idea what to do!
ОтветитьI'm excited to try these tips... these are new ideas to me!
I've tried tin foil, running it thru on an angle, using less warped plates, a shim etc! I have a few dies that just won't cut out completely.😢 I'm trying everything before I give up on them! Sure hope it's not because they were from a "cheap" site... 😮
Genius! Thank you!! 😊
ОтветитьMetal plate was a true game changer for me too!
Thanks for the ideas!
I've just ordered a metal shim after watching this.
ОтветитьThank you for the tips they are very helpful👍🌹
Ответитьtyvm i saw someone put a dryer sheet underneath and the bits stuck to that.
ОтветитьGenius hack!! Thank you for sharing a comparison too! 😍
ОтветитьThank you for the tips. I have so many dies I havnt used and now with the parchment paper works great! Thank you for sharing.❤
ОтветитьI use dryer sheets, cut the into the dryer sheet, no paper yet, run them thru several times if need be. Not sure why the die cuts pop out so easy but they do, i saw another video by a man crafter who purchased “release” paper similar to paper backing on label, kind of slick shiny glossy paper. He actually leaves it in the die and cuts with it inside, similar to what you did with baking paper. Thanks for the tip.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьI have a couple of dies that act this way too, thx!!! So helpful, thx SO much!!!!!
ОтветитьThank you 👍😊
ОтветитьRead somewhere recently that CHAOS stands for "Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome"... 😉😉 I've learnt a lot about die cutting issues; thank you!
ОтветитьSure did dint think of baking paper might get some there a loads of dies I bought and don’t use for this reason
ОтветитьThank you for these reminders I almost threw out a couple problematic dies but will try this and see if they can be saved!
ОтветитьFab video, apart from parchment paper to release dies can also use the plastic packaging inside your breakfast box, similar material to parchment/greaseproof. Can also place another piece of card stock (shim) over parts that are not cut run thru machine again..saves buying metal plate! Or simply spritz card stock with little water before putting die/card stock thru machine..clean cut!
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьThank you! I have a few dies with just these problems. I will give this a try.

Thanks for reminding me of this. I think I stopped using wax paper because somebody told me the wax paper wrecks the die. Any thoughts on parchment paper doing that?
ОтветитьAre you using parchment paper ?
ОтветитьVery good tips. Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьThanks for posting this advice!
ОтветитьAbout the first case, when paper gets stuck on the die:
I have seen lots of videos, over the years, recommending wax paper for this. I had never heard about parchment paper... I have to try.
As in my country we can not find wax paper, I had to come out with something different. And I have never seen anyone mentioning my method!
I use detangler hair spray. It loses the paper quite well.
I spray the die, remove the excess (maybe cut a die cut to waste) and it will work for several cuts
TYFS!!! 💕🌸💕
ОтветитьYay! You solved my problem! I have an intricate grid die that I use for mixed media projects and it just would not cut. Now it’s perfect! Thanks so much! ❤
ОтветитьThanks x
ОтветитьLove the parchment trick! Aren't those purple dies for hot foiling?
Ответитьgood tips! thank you. Sometimes I put the die in at an angle or place it near the edge of the
cutting plate, cutting side up. This adds a little bit of oomph too 🙂
First of all, thank you for that baking paper tip. I bought a number of detailed die cuts online only to find out that they were not cutting all the way through, and my pieces were distorted and would tear. My very first thought was, please, not today! This tip made all the difference. I did not cry or have that frustrated tantrum. 😂Thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьHi what is the mechine you are using please ?
ОтветитьShould have been> You just saved the life of a Hope;espy narrow die, and made a friend in Norway. Thank you, from the bottom of my die!
ОтветитьOrdered the metal shim but when it came it said that it could damage my big shot fold away so I returned it 🥲 but I need help getting paper to release from the tiniest die holes in the die itself. Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you so much for the tips ,ive been so frustrated with a few dies.🇨🇦✌️👏👍🙂
ОтветитьThanks for your excellent tips, Ruth down under.
ОтветитьThanks for the great tips!
Ответитьyou might like to use a small hard brush
ОтветитьActually, that is a great idea. I will try that. Thank you.
ОтветитьYay I found an Australian, products I know Thanks so much for ideas. Tips. I am a newbie. Older newbie.
ОтветитьThank you for you're tutorial about stubbon and Intricate dies. I had so many problems removing paper from the metal dies. And throwing away paper as not working. Now it works with baking paper and a metal intricate die cutting plate. From Sizzix. Thank you. ❤
ОтветитьThank you 🇧🇻👍
