Wasn’t expecting the math this morning 😂
Awesome
Recently found you, all caught up now and been waaatiing for a new episode! :)
ОтветитьOne of my favorite things the Adrenalinn3 does is a random sequenced tremolo or filter. If you mix it in around 30-40%, it gives some movement and sense of rhythm without having a "beat" that the listener can latch onto.
ОтветитьCheck out the "side step"
Which is a expression pedal expander of sorts that allows more control of the wave forms and basically would be akin to a super robot operating the expression pedal in inhuman ways - I think it does random.
I watched until the fart pedal came out. lol
ОтветитьGreat episode. I don't know all that much about the inner workings of guitar pedals, so it's really interesting to learn about them-- especially when presented in a clear and simple way... with diagrams, to boot.
ОтветитьGreat video, as always. That last bit sounded like my stomach the morning after $10 worth of Taco Bell...
ОтветитьDude I love your channel. Keep doing what you do. Thanx!
ОтветитьEhx needs to collaborate with the fart pedal folks to create a polyphonic Mel-9 patch
Ответить“Where do I put my arduino randomizer in my pedal chain?” asked no one, ever!! So glad you just threw conformity out the window with this one. Great show. More please.
ОтветитьThis reminded me of how sound effects get made for movies. Very cool
ОтветитьHaha, this was amazing. 😄
I was very confused at the start when I first saw the Rubberneck, as I'm a huge fan of that pedal and know it doesn't have a random mode, but seeing what you did with that arduino thing just about blew my mind! You should post that clip on the r/ubberneck sub. 😎👍
Keep up the good work, mate. Can't wait to see that Dream Sequence video!
The "Lol XD" board.
ОтветитьSo glad you brought up the EHX RTG and it's functionality plus limitations. I heard that same melody in my RTG. My bandmates didn't believe me that the pedal wasn't actually random. I looped the RTG at the melody point and stopped the loop where I heard it again and the RTG and it's loop synced up perfectly! It's been many years since I first figured that out and if I recall correctly the RTG will go through 127 pulses and then starts over again with the same exact sequence. But I still think it's cool and like to play with it every once in awhile.
Ответитьthis was incredibly fun! i use my library of pedals for sound design all the time, but i've never included a fart pedal in the process. now, i'm questioning why not?
it's my hope you'll dig out your secret stash of OBNE and run Minim and Float with the SL-20. i could describe this experiment, but my words... well, they're reversed, dual-phased, and chopped into bitty, bitty bits- so they likely wouldn't make much sense.
i love. your. work
It was good up until the fart pedal.
ОтветитьMy brain is generating the term 'random-necking'.
ОтветитьOh man, this was great fun! I laughed so hard when you said “just like I’m doin’ with my hands here.“
Brilliant bit of coding on that rubberneck controller. I think you built the ‘mosaic’ mode on the microcosm hologram. Impressive!
I was a developer for a long time before I became a manager of developers and randomness has always been fascinating to me as well. I think my feelings about it match the old Dilbert cartoon where there’s a character known as random number generator and it keeps saying “9… 9… 9… 9… 9… 9… 9… 9… 9… “ which causes Dilbert to ask, “Are you sure that’s random?” To which another character replies “That’s the problem with randomness, you can never be sure.“
Pre fart pedal, that rig had some serious “deserted undersea city ghost story” vibes (cue reference to the ‘under the sea dance’ to match your Marty McFly reference).
Once the fart pedal was added, it called to mind someone with chronic case of gas in the bathtub. (I knew a someone like that.)
I loved this
ОтветитьOMG I LOVE IT CRACKN UP!!!!!!!
ОтветитьThis is fantastic.
ОтветитьOla approves, Fart!
ОтветитьKiller dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьBest pedal show on YT by a country mile, love it; fan for life!
ОтветитьI once did this and stumbled upon an amazing lead tone -
Zvex Fuzz factory--> keeley omni reverb --> Mxr bass envelope filter - zvex sonar tremolo =
Awesome sounds when the verb keeps the filter open and then gets chopped by the trem.
