It's a sin you didn't compare this to the TCL QM8. can this chipset overcome 8bit FRC vs 10bit? The TCLs brightness is godlike putting most OLEDs to shame at the cost of bad sharpness.

I got the 55" U8K for $750, probably the best 55" under $1000.

I just bought a TCL C845 here in the Uk and it has a MT9653 which is such a nice surprise! £1050 for the 65 inch is looking like an even bigger bargain now!

Is it still true that for a very bright room, mini-led beats oled? This Hisense U8k seems to wipe the floor with everything other than maybe the TCL C845 (which I can't see IRL anywhere...). Question is, is the U8K worth the extra £400 from the U7K? It's a big price jump, nearly 45% more. At £900 is there any other 65"TV worth looking at?

I am used to LG, but I had a rare issue with my LG which prompted me to have to make a change. I figured I might as well get more advanced features for a replacement and go for a more uniform picture and more zones and a brighter picture, and NextgenTV. This is a brand that I CAN say that I don't trust, but LG has finally failed me and their customer service was playing around in order to turn me away.

In Rting review 65u8k model native contrast is 7557:1. In your unit native contrast is (4881:1). Why so different?

Just got a 75” U8K, and I am disappointed to see my PS5 Home Screen no longer displays in HDR, even when changing system settings to “always on” from “on when supported.” Apparently others have noticed the same issue with Hisense TVs. Everything seems fine on the Xbox Series X, but I wish TV reviewers would comment on the flaky HDR/PS5 compatibility when reviewing this TV. B The Installer mentioned washed out HDR when gaming (on just the PS5 I assume), but he never really dug into why. I may return this TV. Very unfortunate.

What’s the deal with gamma setting being locked at 2.2 in all HDR modes? That seems like a massive oversight, especially with such a bright TV. Can you wiggle your nose and have the Hisense engineers implement a solution?

Hardly a high end TV when you can’t enjoy HDR content with cinematic settings.

65-inch: 1,008 dimming zones
75-inch: 1,056 dimming zones

With nearly the same number of dimming zones as the 65" model will the 75" models local dimming performance be the same?
My TVs in consideration: 85" Q6 $899, 75" Q7 $899, 75" U8K $1299, 75" X90L $1499, 77" S89C $1999, 98" TCL S4 $2499 😅 🤷

I had honestly no clue that Mediatek made chipsets for TVs. This is really cool. I had heard of Pentonic lineup but never knew they enhanced TVs of all things.

The TCL C845 also has had its SoC secretly replaced by a Pentonic 700 in the more recently manufactured sets.

Mind-blowing collaboration! Mediatek's AI-SR on Hisense smart TVs is a game-changer. Can't wait for the immersive 4K experience.

Why did the Hisense appear so much warmer in the video? Was it a camera setting issue, or is it really that much warmer? It seems odd seeing as it has such a low Delta error.
