I was only 4 years old when you gave this concert, when I was five years of age my beloved Cousin Roberta took me to you in Funny Girl, my admiration of you started that very afternoon, my love affair with you has grown stronger with each passing year, my Mother and Grandmother would play your records in my nursery, you have been part of my life for sixty years, I have seen you in concert whenever you are in Washington DC or Maryland, when President Clinton was in office and you had concerts the Capitol Center, I was at every performance, I was broke for three months put it was worth ever penny, Your music, films and con have brought me through some wonderful times and some sad times as well, but your Voice has been with for so many years, I thank you from the Most secret place within my heart, you are like the finest Silk Velvet, so so sumptuous and elegant , like the most wonderful couture ensemble by any one the greatest designer, I have had you on record, cassette tapes, 8 track tape ,CD’s Beta Tapes, VHS Tapes, Laser Disks, DVD’s, I am so Grateful to my Beloved Family Members gave the gift of your Music.

I was there. She was late. I remember she was scared to start singing, she came , finally from behind the big rock chewing gum, she spit out the gum, said f—k and began singing. It was a great concert and I was way up front. She was natural and spectacular.

As a teenager in 1963 I belonged to the Columbia Record Club. Each month I would select an album randomly and received The Barbra Streisand Album...her debut album. I didn't know who she was and never heard her sing. When I listened to "Happy Days Are Here Again" I remember running to my father all excited and insisting he sit down and listen to her. I remember telling him she was going to become very famous!! That voice was unbelievable and here all these years later in 2024 that voice is still unbelievable and sadly I lost that album over the years!!

It was about 1967, I was a freshman in college, and got drunk and marched down the middle of the street singing "Don't Rain on My Parade"....good times!!!

When she is explaining the concert conditions, she is so cute and adorable!

Aside from her amazing voice I'm struck by the diversity and youthfulness of her audience. Remember, this was 1967, the dawn of psychodelia rock and roll and a youth rebellion against everything traditional. I guess when angels come down from heaven to sing everyone comes to listen.

It is hard to believe that this concert is soon to be 57 years old (6/17/24 minus 6/17/67! It is timeless, to say the least. Her performance, in my opinion, was flawless. I know "When the Sun Comes Out" was edited out of the TV airing due to her forgetting her lyrics just before the intermission, and it breaks my heart that this is where she states her "stage fright" began which kept her from performing "live" for 27 more years after this time frame. I can't imagine how she must have felt about that, and I know we for sure as fans, would have been treated to some spectacular live performances in that void of years had that never happened. But I must say, "and Barbra if you ever read this", know while critics and people who choose not to hold you in high esteem may have scoffed at your human error back then, that is exactly what makes you wonderful! No one is perfect, we all make mistakes, but if you put on the scale of justice the good you have done in your life as opposed to any blunder... the good you have done will always weigh out any flaws! I was only 4 going on 5 when this was live, but how I wish I could have been there in person to take in the 2 1/2 hours of pure entertainment! Thank God it has been recorded for future generations to enjoy moving forward! FABULOUS performance! I so enjoyed watching this! She is a marvel!🥰
