First!💖
This game seems fun!
Everyone's aware that irl horse racing is just pure abuse right?
Ответитьouh i love how the game looks so far, I'd love to play it when it releases!
ОтветитьCant wait to relax after a long day at watch this! 🥰
ОтветитьOMG NEW RATTLE CONTENT!!! Thanks for posting this Rattle, this made my day :D
ОтветитьI think it's fantastic that the not only want to focus on realistic genetics (hopefully also colours we see on the models with that in mind) but also include injuries that can end the horse's life as a racer.
Horseracing is a merciless sport, horses are disposable tools and even the smallest problems can be their end as a living being. So having career ending injuries (be it unaliving or just having them end up as a paddock pal at best) is something I very much appreciate. It makes people aware that we're dealing with living creatures, with realistic problems and it brings something into the game that can potentially make us emotional. And while it's not a positive emotional moment, I think this can greatly enhance gameplay if you (like me) get attached to even the tiniest pixel critters you gave a name to. :')
This game reminds me of one of the VERY old Horseracing Manager games (don't know the exact name), it's such a good mix of management and racing (not just watching, but actually doing things, that's great!).
I'm very much looking forward to it and I greatly hope they implement lots of interesting colour patterns. Been ages since I've drawn tiny pixel ponies with realistic coat colours, but it's always a great joy to see them and even see them move. So I'm really hoping for some Sabino coat patterns and whatnot. <3
Hey, so this isn’t exactly about the game, but since you and a few other commenters mentioned it, I think I’ll talk about it too: I like horse racing games as much as the next person, but I think there needs to be a clear cut between the games and the reality.
I totally agree with you about being interested in this game and I really think it’s an original concept, but I’d appreciate it if you were more mindful about how you talk about horse racing. The fact is, race horses get broken in way too young which leads to problems like arthritis later on. They also don’t get proper turnout and socialization, so they pretty much just don’t have a good life. As a matter of fact, this is even visible in the (stock?) footage you used. If you really take a look at that, you can see harsh bridles with tight nose bands and stressed faces, and that’s the images that were pretty enough to be made official.
I think we all need to be aware of that, especially because for hundreds of horses a year, they don’t even get a nice retirement, they either don’t live up to standards and get sold to slaughter or break their legs and just die on the tracks.
To sum my comment up, I’d just appreciate it if you informed yourself about the suffering race horses go through and restrict your admiration to the games, not the actual sport.
I think that career ending injuries is rather harsh, but could keep the game more intense. Perhaps a setting option so you can decide if your horses can get severely hurt?
ОтветитьId be excited to play this when it releases. Career ending injuries are really interesting because it helps the player learn the limits and also to check their horses, adding more realism. I would be excited to see the breeding aspect of this game too, and i wonder how in depth the system will be
ОтветитьThe main developer personally added our own horses or name suggestions including mine named "Saul Goodman"! How freaking cool is that???
They are incredibly detail oriented I have high hopes for this game and can't wait to play it and find my horsey!!!<3
thank you for the video i like the career ending injury because it is realistic i think it is a good idea instead of a kid game where everything can happen I like it its better in my opinion
ОтветитьI would love a modern take on Final Stretch: Horse Racing Manager. That game was everything when I was a kid, despite the fact that I was terrible at it. This game gives me hope for something a bit more like that, but less serious than SO. 😄
ОтветитьI personally like my horse racing games more "arcade-y" (derby owners club, gallop racer, etc) so I might not play this but I'm really glad to see there are more in-depth horse racing games coming out. We need more of these.
ОтветитьStop! The music in the beginning! I thought I had my own playing for a second! I used to listen to that one so much as a kid and we had a little toy car that played that song XD :'D ♥ For a Pixel game, it does not look bad at all! and I'm excited to see the future for this ♥
ОтветитьI think carreer ending illnesses would be devastating, but could be interesting, if breeding was a thing (did I sleep during the video or is that not part of the game?). A horse that is injured and not able to race anymore, but has the potential for good offspring could be a really good kick start for the next generation (maybe you would not have bred with the horse otherwise or not as soon). Could also be interesting to be able to buy a good but not rideable horse from the auction house.
I usually like illness and injuries for realism. But there are usually no positive random events in horse games. It would be nice if the horses could get some sort of positive random boost.
Like... "horse made a bird friend on the paddock and will be less spooky with flying objects" - maybe making its traning more effective during this autmn (because of the leaves and stuff..).
Or.. "On the way to the training arena there was a group of loud children. They were nice an petted horse. Horse no longer is so scared of loud crowds" - maybe making it perform slightly better at races with many spectators or just giving it a little speed boost for the next few races.
Rattle, you can volunteer as a voice actor for this game and kick off your voice acting career 😄😄
On another note, I think that career-ending injuries would be a great thing to add. It gives an extra layer of luck and difficulty to the game - imagine the frustration, if your best horse's career ended before it made you rich, or the joy if your biggest rival lost their cash-cow. It also doesn't mean that the horse needs to be get rid of - if their pedigree and career are promising enough, breeding would be a great way to further your plans, or just ruin your stables if the horse with good pedigree ended their career before proving itself, and then ends up as a dud for breeding too because they didn't inherit anything good from their ancestry.
It would most definitely make the game harder, but also a lot more interesting.
looks promising , been looking for a Koei Winning post in English or over 20 years , Gallop Racer was the next best thing and that was 2006 crazy .
ОтветитьI really hope they add the auction house aspect because it would be very unique and I think career ending injuries is needed for realism, should be an option you can turn on/off though for other people who dont want it.
ОтветитьI'm pretty excited honestly. I really enjoy management games and miss when we had more stable managemnt games. This being racing themed is a unique take! We have tons of racing games but not tons of racing management out there ❤
ОтветитьI always wanted a game with possible career-ending injuries. It's harsh, but the stakes of the game would be so much higher and it would make me feel more attached to my horses, too. I would like to have that sort of drama in the game.
ОтветитьThanks for this, sounds really promising. Fingers crossed for the end product. I'll be happy if they have a decent breeding mechanic.
ОтветитьFor a second i thought this was going to be a review of the phone game with the same name 😂
Ответитьsick with covid, this video couldn't have come at a better time 💞
ОтветитьRattle, are you going to be looking into the drama of Rift (REDM) that's going on at this time? I think you should check it out and see what more there is too it. seems like there more drama coming out for all types of players randomly getting banned ect.
ОтветитьThis is so cool! I have been wanting to see a new horse racing game SO BADLY! I adore the GI Jockey / Gallop Racer series and I'm sooo excited to see something leaning into some of those features.
ОтветитьCan you discuss this new phenomenon called, “Story of Alicia” ? They’re taken donations yet Alex can’t for AO !
ОтветитьThis reminds me of dog sled saga
ОтветитьThis game sounds amazing!!!! Can't wait
ОтветитьThank you Rattle, was awesome working with you! :)
