My lucky scent for anything important is Lanvin LHomme. I have used for every job interview, scholarship interview, important presentations etc. luckily it's light enough that it is rarely noticed and I've had luck with it.

My top worn work scents are:
Creed Himilaya
Mugler Cologne
Milisime imperial
And Aventus which is immediately noticeable by my staff and coined "Szechuan pepper spray".

I work in a combination of a corporate office environment and remote construction-type job sites.

Such a double standard that people can reek of cigarettes but wear a fragrance and one has to worry about offending everyone - WTF?!?!?

I'm studying to be a dentist, and I am struggling with the fragrance question already. By now, I am already treating patients and I'm afraid of patients smelling something on me. My "signature" or "work" scent would probably be xerjoff - uden, and even though I think it's a people pleaser, it can sometimes come off very strong. Xerjoff just has that power.
I also only wear fragrance if I have to treat in the afternoon so I can apply in the morning and let it settle down for a few hours.
