I have a lot to say but I think it will help anyone who is uncertain about this. OMG this has givien me my sanity back. Got a Siberian Husky I didn’t know prior how much they like to escape went to the Hardware store to build him a strong line which he was getting tangled around stuff all the time unless it was short which both he an I hated. So I bought the doggy playground fence $980 took me all day to build looked like shit and he still was able to escape. I live in very suburban neighborhood and I knew sooner or later he was going to get hit. I bought this an was very hesitant because most of my yard is chain linked fence an my street has cars parked in front a my house an I read that large metal objects will interfere with this. Not so I’ve had this now 4 months he has never not once escaped!!! He has the whole property so if I’m in both front and then the back he is able to follow not like when he was tied up. My property is not a circle but rectangular, on one side it is blocked with a fence so I made it so the circle overlaps in that direction (since he can’t get over there anyway) where ever u place the base will be the center of ur circle. I previously thought because me yard ain’t circular this wouldn’t work and I would have to use the wired one but because my yard is narrow and there is concrete outlining the yard that sounded like a big pain in the ass plus’s that wire is very thin and breaks easily I wasn’t about to grind concrete to lay it then tar over it an later down the road it break (cuz they do) my mom an dad had that set up and every yr there would b a break in the wire but they had a bigger yard so it worked for them. The other thing I like about the wireless one is that they continue to get shocked until the come back as with the wired one once they cross the boundary they are free and get shocked again to re- enter. Oh and it only took my dog a day before he understood if he heard the beeping he knew to get closer to the house after a wk I was totally comfortable letting him out by himself. If your wondering about it hurting ur dog well I tried it on the highest setting an well you wouldn’t leave the yard either but that is adjustable so if u have a little doggy but for my dog if it didn’t stun him he would have disregarded it and after you’re able to just open the door for them especially in the winter both u and ur dog will be so much more happier since I got this my dog spends way more time outside he gets to run cuz he has more space and it made potty training a thing of the past in the summer I leave his collar on all day ( don’t bother him at all) I leave the screen door so it ain’t latched closed and he can push it open him self sooo convenient!!!
