It's a series about a literal serial killer who kills, shockingly, children
throughout the series Afton is never romanticized, he is pure evil
and it is a story about fighting against that evil
It's sad that people made those accusations against you, because it can be really psychologically hurtful
Those people are essentially mentally ill, they get pleasure from accusing you of heinous shit

In my opinion, the reason the shining, silent hill, and it have child death is because of the storyline and also they don’t show what’s happening during the death! They don’t show Pennywise eating Georgie alive, they don’t show the twins getting chopped to death, they don’t show the full colored bodies of the shadow hanging children. but you showed Chica mawing a child to death, Montgomery mawing a child to death, and Roxanne, tearing off the face of a kid. you also showed the full dead bodies of the four kids who are hanged! The reason why five nights at Freddy’s works so well as a horse game is because of the implied deaths we don’t see the corpses we learn about them. It’s a tell don’t show type of Story.

Personally I liked how the gore was because it made these characters genuinely scary. Like imma be real with y’all the FNAF security breach enemies aren’t scary. So seeing how dangerous they are by showing the corpses of the kids they killed adds to their horror. They are tools to signify how dangerous the threat is, but when your characters aren’t scary design wise and they aren’t scary character wise, then they’re just not scary. Sure I’ll admit eyeless Roxy is kinda spooky, but looking at FNAF SB, I feel like I’m being chased down by literal cartoons, so showing how dangerous they are by showing what they’ve done to innocent kids instantly makes them scarier.

I was honestly surprised people were upset about the presence of gore, it's a horror story. I think it makes complete and total sense to show the suffering in that way in this version of the story - it's not thrown around just for the sake of it and it adds to the seriousness of the story. I loved the reimagining of Security Breach, it told a much more interesting tale than the original and had a lot of character. Great video!

While I don't particularly like seeing gore, I do think that FNaF severely lacks it.
I can only think of a few examples in the games.
Minigames: Bloodstains in the SAVETHEM minigame, William Afton being spring-locked, the dead dogs in Fruity maze.
Main games: FNaF 1's game over screen, FNaF 4's game over screen, being scooped, the bloodstains on Withered Chica's endo jaws.

I certainly think that some level of gore and scenes of how the animatronics kill people would make them much more menacing threats, especially if they are friendly-looking designs. That was my main problem with the toy animatronics; what is threatening about them and how are they meant to hurt you in any way?

im sorry but why are people sensitive about the gore part? , the franchise was build on insinuated gore and the fact that people cannot accept that yes horror should have gore is wild. his story would reboot fnaf in to something actually horror but also if u dont put the fact that yes people of died here you go : we should see the harsh reality of what the dead people have been though its part of making a sympathetic plot and would get the consumer thinking. like in security breech, when attacked u dont get any consequences yes you die but u dont see what actually happens to the character you play when u see them snap after you but then what ?

Personally,I enjoyed your reimagining and as someone who has been in the horror community for very long, didn’t find it too extreme especially not for the fnaf community. now days everything is so sugarcoated. Fnaf is a story of child mutilation, child murder and possessed animatronics. Your video and story shook me and stayed in my brain for days, which in my opinion is exactly what I expected from the new installation of the fnaf series. You received so much unnecessary hate and backlash for giving the fnaf series exactly what it so desperately needed.

I would also like to clarify that just because I and many others enjoy horror doesn’t make us messed up or dangerous people. I’m also an artist who has made some gory works but it still doesn’t make me a bad person. People enjoy different things and different categories of games and movies, it is an extremely invalid reason to falsely accuse someone of much larger things like being a child predator.

Overall it’s important to remember that people love drama🤷‍♀️and will do anything for their 5 minutes of fame. best thing to do is move on and don’t let them get the reaction they want out of you .

To clarify, I’m speaking about the negative comments of his re-imagined story, not the issues with not crediting artists and content warnings . That’s a whole other can of worms

im aware this was 2 months ago but man, in my opinion, you gotta hire a new artist. it was very WEIRD to use someone elses design without asking them and just saying they found it on google, and a lot of the assets seem to be traced and messy, you're not getting your moneys worth.

People are so sensitive, don't worry though.
---- ...People are already over it. You put a trigger warning, I don't know why anyone would ever expect anything less than extreme gore no matter how the trigger warning is put onto any franchise.

I 100% believe this community is toxic enough to join a fandom with a story deeply (and obviously) involved with topics of child murder just so they can knap at creators who try to change the subtle aspects of it that they so desperately cling onto.

Not to get political, but the idea of a "fandom community" is heavy imbedded in leftist liberal culture, and I can see why a majority liberal teen community would be so hurt by simple shit like this.

@puppiekit - 16.03.2023 12:48

Yeah when I watched the og video the gore just felt so. Weird. And out of place. One of the main reasons why I love fnaf (as soneone who has been on the fandom since its initial release) is BECAUSE of the lack of gore. I find the use of gore incredibly cheesy in a horror franchise, even moreso in a franchise that
1: was not founded on gore to begin with, meaning it would ad nothing to the plot, atmosphere, ir overall horror
And 2: is plot/atmosphere based - meaning the story, setting, characters, and sound is what makes things scary. (Similar to that of a horror book , i guess). Fnaf is scary because the Idea of 5 kids being killed In a place where they are supposed to be safe... IS SCARY! NOT because of the gorey visual of a kid being killed.
Honestly, too many horror franchise today believe that giving a game the most shocking death scenes and gore sights possible constitutes horror when it doesn't. Gore doesn't make something scary, you have to actually have a good plot and atmosphere to be scary.
FNAF as a whole wasn't founded on gore, so WHY would it ever need gore? All you would be doing at that point is steering away a large part of your own audience. Do you think a big name like markiplier would want to play a fnaf game where a child's face is ripped off in a graphic fashion? No. Not at all.
And the common buyer isn't going to be interested in a game which believes a gorefest will spice up its otherwise average plot. I mean no hate but, gore aside, the plot in of itself isn't anything special. Definitely an improvement from what we got, but I'd say even fnaf 1 in of itself provides a more catching story.
A good remaining if security breach would EMBRACE its roots - have a simple but effective story (nothing wild or elaborate), provide a lot of hidden lore and implications, minimal gore (if any at all). I would also tighten up the spaces- remove at least half of the mall, lower all of the ceilings, and get rid of any bots/endos altogether. I'd embrace the true feeling of being hunted in a confined space, which to me is definitely what made fnaf 1 so effective to me

Well the thing about the previous games is it really didn’t need it because there’s the layer of fear and the horrors of what happened u can imagine urself which everyone can imagine it differently whether tame or horrifying basically interpretation except the 3 event shown which can be reimagined in a more gruesome manner such as Afton’s first kill (that one needs a bit more context because in the mini game all it is is her standing outside and Afton shows up stands by her and she cries more than turns into ghost) the bite of 83 or Afton’s first “death” I feel security breach needed gore on the sore reason it’s a horror game and nothing about it was scary beside vanny’s goofy ahh run when she gets too close or after the animatronic’s get tore up beside they didn’t looked scary or felt as scary or threatening as they should be hell Gregory solo’ed all of them mid diff so this game needed that extra layer of horror especially since this game is on a bigger scale in terms of what u can do compared to the other game with alot of limitations and beside the series as a whole need to remind everyone that hey I’m a horror franchise u need to take me serious not that people don’t but if u look at the merch and people’s opinions of fnaf most will think oh that’s kid’s game which this game is no where near kid friendly unless u wanna advertise child murder to kids then no but with how the merch is is made and sold and the animatronics look most people who don’t really know what fnaf is will assume it’s a kids game hell one DBD dev dismissed a fan’s request to springtrap and does he know what fnaf is he said something along the lines of no because I’m not 12 or I don’t play kids games so fnaf needs something to remind everyone (not that the dark layers and meaning and events aren’t there) that it’s horror b4 anything else it’s necessary doesn’t have to be gore but it’s need that extra layer of horror hell for example the 8 bit mini games let’s animate in game as a cutscene and not a 8 bit mini that’s atleast a right step to steer fnaf away from being a kid series

at first I thought it was bad but seeing it again, I like where you went with it, the family friendly aspect they are trying to go for is just terrible and waters it down, FNAF is more known for its scary scenes without being overt with gore but that doesn't mean it needs to be watered down for kids who probably shouldn't be playing a game about child murder

I'm like three months late saying this but.... who cares? Don't answer that.
I just finished the re-imagining of Security Breach today and I have to say it installed a bit of fear in me. I don't like dead children. But I don't hate the usage of it. The gore doesn't bother me either... okay it did but not in the sense of how it was portrayed, but I do get the discourse following its amount. Also, glad to see you cleared up things with Shrimpface and the Glamrock Chica design. Which looked magled before the trash compactor.

You hit a minor hiccup with this controversial wave but the tide is now back under the bridge. Shouldn't have been over the bridge in the first place. Stupid water with its refreshing taste.

Hot take i think the gore actually adds to the realness of the game and makes it stand out amongst the rest of the franchise. Of course not showing stuff can leave impact but not if you constantly do it everytime something happens, maybe a mixture of both would work best

I understand why people were upset with the design used without permission... But the gore stuff is so bogus to me. Yes i agree that fnaf would benefit more from implications or 8bit minigames rather than explicitly showing that violence in detail... But why are they upset that you're showing the child murder the series is literally based on and has been based on from the start!! It's just taking what was already there and actually Showing it... But i guess as someone who's read the fazbear fright books, detailed child gore isnt that surprising for FNAF to me.
I personally think fnaf is really cool for setting itself apart from other gory horror franchises! But violence like that is not to be unexpected in horror, I viewed your imagining like a creepypasta... Taking elements from a beloved franchise and taking the implications to extreme spooky degrees. And i personally hate gore btw! I just think the discourse is so bad faith

The problem with the child gore isn't that "well other horror media do it, so it should be fine to do it." The problem is the franchise you're tackling here. Five Nights, for better or worse, has attracted a young audience, and seems to safely set itself in the Teen/PG-13 territory. To take that and make a decent moderately scary reimagining is one thing, but to include the death scenes of what happened to the children for no other reason than shock comes off as more depraved than it does artistic. Its one thing to be able to infer the process and aftermath of each childs death, but another completely to depict the deaths of the children for no other reason than shock to the audience. The deaths have already happened by the time the player is seeing it, so its not really a "oh my god that kids dying and I'm witness to it and want to help or avenge them" its more of a "well that was gross, why did I need to see that if the death's process was already complete and had no bearing on the plot or the characters."

It's really interesting how hellbent are FNAF fans are on keeping FNAF shit. Any other fanbase of any other setting normally wants their setting to be good and interesting. They want to see it's history, characters, factions, political situation, culture, religion and concepts developed, sensible, believable and cool. And for a horror setting, above all else? Actually fucking scary. They want interesting storytelling. Except for FNAF fans. They want it shit. FNAF VHS, Tjoc, FNAF plus, A Shadow over Freddy's, A dayshift at Freddy's, etc made FNAF interesting and scary again, and fanbase only screams:
>No! It's too much! Make it shit again! Make it simplistic! FNAF should never be good and interesting!
No wonder why FNAF movie was so successful. Anything of genuine horror seems to filter the shit out of FNAF fans. Any worldbuilding, good storytelling, or anything remotely complex or actually fucking scary, seems to cause literal, physical pain in them. It's unbelievable really

Ok... doubt you will respond or anything... but im making a fnaf fan game inside minecraft and am kinda stuck on what to do for the story... i dont want to do the whole cliche of possesed or havked animatronics... since thats kinda too common. I do want some kind of supernatural element to the story... do you have any ideas? The main characters are Daisy Dazzledoe (a female brown animatronic deer), Stanly the salamander (a male animatronic salamander), windy the wolverine (a female animatronic wolverine similar to funtime foxy except without the splitting faceplate and such), chrome daisy (basically a silver version of daisy without any endoskeleton or anything. Similar to golden freddy in fnaf 1.), the scrap (a broken amd torn up animatronic kangaroo), the entangled (an endo with wires and parts all entwined together wearing a shattered shark mask), ruby flair (a female 25 year old nightguard), violet rose (basically the phone girl who is 29 and female), and after that? Nothing. I don't know where to go from there... also it's set in a Diner with an office with one doorway to the left that has no door and a vent that can be sealed in front of the desk and a window to the left that looks outside... it has tasks that involves things like restocking a prize counter while avoiding a plush toy of daisy dazzledie trying to kill you, a breaker repair sequence that requires repairing a breaker while keeping Stanly the salamander at bay, a showstage repair sequence with windy the wolverine that involves replacing fuses to keep the stahe running while flashing windy so she won't kill you, a repair sequence against daisy dazzledoe where you need to repair daisy while ensuring she doesn't kill you, a vent repair sequence that involves resetting the Ventilation ducts while sealing off the vents to make sure entangled doesn't get in (he acts like mangle and crawls through vents), a sequence that involves downloading a file in the safe room while shocking chrome daisy so she doesn't kill you, and finally a weeping angel sequence against the scrap that involves escaping the diner... which has 3 endings:

Heading to the Safe room results in the insanity ending

Heading to the exit results in the escape ending

And dying results in the springlock/stuffed ending.

I know like what I wanted gameplay wise... but story is much more tricky... do you have any ideas?
