Thank you for the great review!!
ОтветитьI'm visiting the Pacific Northwest for the first time ever this summer and I'm seeing that this entire region is a desert for theme parks and that Silverwood is the only "big" park with a notable amount of coasters nearby. The 5+ hour drive from Seattle seems doable though.
ОтветитьI live in Seattle and come here a lot for school trips. Everything is amazing and beautiful, and I almost completely agree with your review. I've ridden basically everything, and it all is so smooth, and the employees are so nice. From Seattle, it's about a 5 hour drive, and it's always worth it.
ОтветитьFor you older folks, Silverwood is Nat Park on steroids!!
ОтветитьI love Silverwood, and I have been there every summer since I was 3. Though I don't think I have ever seen spin cycle have a long line, other than that great review 👍
ОтветитьI love silver wood I like going every year if I can
ОтветитьI love silver wood stunt pilot was so much fun ! I also loved aftershock and the woodens honestly and I rode a lot more rides
Ответитьi went to Silverwood 2 times and i had a blast my favorite ride was Aftershock, Stunt Pilot and Timber Terror, Stunt Pilot Because it tries to kill you Aftershock because it was just insane and Timber Terror because it has really good airtime i did not expect a Double-Up
ОтветитьMy fiance says it's amazing!!
ОтветитьSilverwood is my home park and it really is an amazing place. My family invested in Season Passes this last season and the cost is worth it IF you plan on going for more than 3 times.
Pros- The park is well managed from a customer service standpoint. They make you feel like you belong there and want you to be there, rather than just a number. The food is 100% worth it, and you get decent portions. I 100% agree get everything Huckleberry, and speaking of which My kids LOVE the Huckleberry Lemonade from Lindy's. Boulder beach is a nice water park and they have a good collection of slides. HOWEVER it can be PACKED on hot days. Finally, I do agree with Aftershock it's temperamental, and I heard from a staff member they jokingly call it the "demon coaster." Why? Because it does have its faults and is more limited, BUT when Aftershock is running it is 100% their standout coaster. Best days to go to Silverwood are overcast days, if a thunderstorm is predicted EVEN better. Also the Train Ride is awesome, they love to comment how the owner of Silverwood out bid Disney for Engine #7.
The best day I had at Silverwood was a Monday afternoon and a thunderstorm rolled through. The thunderstorm prompted Boulder Beach to close for the day with ride closures in the theme park. When my son and I arrived people were streaming out of the park, and the staff said "everything is closed, your welcome to come in but we anticipate the rides opening in 30 minutes when the weather clears (google confirmed as well)." So we stuck it out and turned out it was the BEST decision. We had walk on rides on EVERYTHING, even Aftershock. We would ride a ride, and then get off and could literally get right on the again. That's when my Son and I found out that row 16 on Aftershock is 100% the best seats.
CONS- The ride operations are bad with 1 train per ride (minus stunt pilot). Many rides have slow turn overs and IDK if it's their ride systems or just not enough staff. HOT days are busy days and the lines can be killer, the water park can experience 45-60 minute plus waits. There are not a lot of hotels nearby so unless you camp at their RV park, you're going to have to drive. This is a cashless park and can be an issue if you just want to send your kids with a friend and give them some cash. They don't have a good intermediary collection of rollercoasters between the 2 kiddie coasters and their star attraction coasters. Essentially for your primary school age group that are between 42-48 inches tall. My daughter is in the height range and she does get jealous that big brother who is 4 1/2 feet tall can go on everything. They can go on the wooden rollercoasters but I personally feel that these rides really should be for a 48'' tall kid.
BEST THING that Silverwood does is they have a "read to ride" program. If school age kids k-5 read 10 hours they can get a free ticket to Silverwood. MANY families utilize this program and it really makes it a family friendly park.
LULZ @ the kid flipping the bird on panic plunge.
ОтветитьVisited this park from up north in Canada. It's a lot bigger than everything else we have up here in Western Canada.
ОтветитьThis is my genuine childhood! I grew up in Central Washington and we made it a tradition to come here at least once a year! So many good memories at this park!
ОтветитьI’m from Kalispell Montana and Silverwood is a 3-4 hour drive. The last time I was there was 2008 and they had just got after shock. I happened to move to Virginia in 2008 and Kings Dominion became my home park until today. When Silverwood opened Timber Terror, it was originally named Grizzly, because northern Idaho and North west Montana actually have Grizzly bears. Kings Dominion sued Silverwood for copyright infringement because they had a woodie called Grizzly. I have been on both, and they are both great, but Timber Terror is the most superior ride.
ОтветитьFrom BC, to Idaho! Super fun place, my first ever coasters, and I went only 3 days ago for the first time! Yesterday was my last. I loved it hetr
ОтветитьI go there every summer and I’m going there on Friday with my best friend
ОтветитьSilverwood is amazing. i love it more than wildwaves and i grew up with that park. definitly going to silverwood again.
Ответитьive been to silverwood, going again after 9 years in a week!
ОтветитьMy parents took my brothers and i here so long ago. Now im waiting for my own kids to get big enough to take them. One of my state's great hidden gems
ОтветитьBest amusement park I've been to
ОтветитьBest theme park ever!!!
Ответитьi’m extremely lucky to live maybe 20-30 minutes from this ride. it’s great, and very beautiful.
ОтветитьI live near Silverwood, and it gets a lot of love from the locals, as well. Maybe that's why the prices within the park stay reasonable? Silverwood passes are a common gift around here. My dad helped weld some of the coasters, and the hand rails in Boulder Beach. I love that there's a lot to do for people who aren't a fan of big coasters (my hubby). The landscaping, food, games, and shows make up for it and can keep adults entertained, too. My favorite time to go is in the spring when the season first starts because there's less people, and it's not too hot; however, the weather can definitely be touchy, and being able to ride Aftershock is a treat.
ОтветитьI love and I only live a couple minutes away
ОтветитьSilverwood like really nice theme park and the surrounding scenery looks great. The park could use some LED lights on their roller coasters like Corkscrew and Stunt Pilot. Maybe they could add a Sky Tower or a Double Looping roller coaster or a Grizzly Bear log ride to Silverwood Theme Park later on during the decade. I've never been to Idaho before, so this park is defiantly a place that I would like to visit sometime in the future and the food looks pretty good too. I'm surprised that Idaho only has one amusement park in the northern part of it. I think that Bosie could use a theme park around their area or in one the east towns to get more people to visit the state.
ОтветитьLove from nature
ОтветитьI love Silverwood, it's awesome. It's a great place to hang out at, it's almost like your second home. Lindy's and high Moon saloon is a great place to eat at.
ОтветитьSilver wood is my home park I really enjoy this review
ОтветитьWeve been coming here a long time- this last time we waited in line for Tremors for a hour and a half. Two coaster were closed, only got in about 4 rides total. Also smelled like sewer all over the park. Kinda sad about it. 😢
ОтветитьI think Sliverwood is a hole in the ground it's really outdated, they need to add wait times, FastPass, and two trains on their big attractions it's 2023 people.
ОтветитьSomehow, despite growing up in Seattle and being 49 yo, I just went to Silverwood for the first time this year on the way to Glacier NP. This park is amazing, rivaling Knott's Berry Farm and Busch Gardens. And I'm not just saying that because my home park is Premier Parks' Wild Waves lol! I can seriously see us getting season passes here in the future. Tremors may be my favorite wooden coaster and Aftershock is great and smoother than expected given its age. Phantasm was one of the best theme park shows I've ever seen. Overall, just a stellar experience!
ОтветитьOne lucky thing about living in northern idaho is every school year they pick a few schools and the students who go there can get a free silver wood ticket if they read for ten hours, which is a really short amount of time and you can get it done fast, but they give you a whole month! I was lucky enough to get my school picked every year. But now im goin into 7th grade and if my school is picked again im too old for a free ticket now. 😢
ОтветитьSilverwood sucks, last time I was there staff abused me, yelled at me, threatened to have me arrested and said “you’re on private property, we can do whatever we want to you” in the context of physical violence
ОтветитьGreat review. Just returned from a three day trip to Silverwood with my wife and two sons. We all had a wonderful time and look forward to returning again. Main thing I can say is, what a value this place is!!! Just as good, and in many cases better than places that are more than twice the price not only to get in, but for food and drinks as well.
ОтветитьJust came back from Silverwood with my wife and two kids 10 and 6. Absolutely love this place. Everything said was true about the park but they didn’t capture how friendly everyone was. And I mean everyone! Even the parking lot attendants who take your payment and do the same thing a thousand times a day were friendly and cheerful and felt sincere when they wished you a fun time. Best feature? Free water from any concession stand. It gets hot in the summer and they do an amazing job putting shade giving trees and covering lines with a burlap canopy and lots of misters to keep you cool. But the water is amazing. You just take your water bottle up to any of the food places and don’t have to wait in line and they’ll happily fill you up. They don’t nickel and dime you and it just feels wonderful. So the point is if you haven’t been then don’t go. Go to Disney or Universal Studios in Orlando. Leave this place alone because I don’t want longer lines!
ОтветитьAwesome documentary. We lived there and had season passes! Loved it so much. You did forget to mention the Frozen Lemonade😂
Ответить❤
ОтветитьAmazing Video ❤👏🏽
ОтветитьMe and my family always go each year. We live in Calgary but we love it there and haven’t been there since 2019 can’t wait to this year it’s so fun and beautiful!🎉
ОтветитьI've always wanted to go to silverwood but I live hours away from it so I've never got the chance to go there. Hopefully this year I'll get to go.
ОтветитьI’m going in a couple days with my besties. CANT WAIT!
ОтветитьI love silver wood it's so fun I just don't like the all you can eat buffet
ОтветитьWe love doing 2 days at each park 😊
ОтветитьThis place is in the middle of nowhere
ОтветитьI grew up 5miles from there. I loved this video ❤
ОтветитьCan youd do the 🏄
ОтветитьI have been way too many times and while I don’t enjoy it I’m glad others enjoy it also visit Spokane it’s great
ОтветитьDid Aftershock come from Six Flags over Georgia?
ОтветитьStunt Pilot is great and I feel like it is the golden standard of a "Thrill Ride" Quick, fun, not too crazy, and the places they set up the cameras make for some great photos. And I feel like Aftershock is low key a world class ride. Walking up it doesn't look like much, but sit in the rear slot and you'll be surprised at how high up you are and the speeds you reach. And good luck ever finding an open seat on that train on a busy day. It's a reprieve for adults with amped up children, so they jump on the second they can to chill out and take a break.
ОтветитьIve been to silverwood, and it is soooooo fun!!!
