Annnnddd....another master class ! 😃👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьThanks Billy for the video..I learn something new today..knowledge is power Bro..👍✌
Ответить“If you don’t have friends to ride with, that’s on you, that ain’t on me”. 😂 truest words ever. Good luck out there “lone wolfs”. Friends make the ride even better, especially in a pinch.
ОтветитьGreat job and great video Billy 👍👍
ОтветитьThank you for another great video.
ОтветитьBack side of that crescent wrench never pinched a Tube on me Brother . But them old Craftsman flat heads have bitten my tubes more than twice !😅
ОтветитьA very intelligent and well taught video of forgotten history. those poor old hinged fenders got used up as we cut the hinge part off for our bobbers on the old pan heads .. I always look forward to your videos Guitars and harleys.
ОтветитьBig twin bead buster. Pretty slick.
ОтветитьBilly repairing a flat on the side of the road is never a good thing!! I've had to do it a few times over the years. My Honda adventure bike has tubed tires and I had to repair a flat front on it not long after I got it. Used the side stand on my buddies bike to break the bead and that works pretty good. Of the 6 bikes I own all but one carry tubed tires. When I was building my 03 Low Rider I installed the Moto Iron 40 spoke wheels that are sealed inside and are tubeless. So far they have held up fine and never lose a pound of air. I do carry a plug kit and a small battery powered compressor in one of the bags just in case! I don't even want to think about trying to change a flat on my Super Glide on the side of the road by myself. That would be the time to call triple A🤣🤣
ОтветитьA big c clamp and a descent scrap of wood for safety to break the bead, solo
Ответитьbilly you can put all those words in the keywords and not the title and it will still come up in the algorithm either way love your vids thx buddy
Ответить“Stuckness shouldn’t be avoided. It’s the psychic predecessor of all real understanding. An egoless acceptance of stuckness is a key to an understanding of all Quality, in mechanical work as in other endeavors. It’s this understanding of Quality as revealed by stuckness which so often makes self-taught mechanics so superior to institute-trained men who have learned how to handle everything except a new situation” Robert M. Pirsig
ОтветитьLove it Billy. Working on an old Sportster with my daughter currently. This is the shop floor, roadside, down and dirty old school mechanic work we love. Thanks for the content.
ОтветитьIf I were alone, changing the flat, I'd figure a way to use the side stand/kick stand/ jiffy stand to break the bead.
ОтветитьEven though I've been riding about 60 years, I have never seen removal of a knucklehead rear wheel. This is the true essence of motorcycling, IMO...knowing how to wrench on your bike at the side of the road. That is how I started. Excellent instruction and entertainment for an old biker like me.
ОтветитьWhat's the torc on the lug nuts? I know you're strong AF, but it still looked like you weren't really cranking on them. I see guys doing it all the time with a lug wrench. Way over the torque spec. 😂
On vehicles.
I always appreciate your work & learn from your videos. You never over talk or miss anything....A sign of a great teacher, Thanx Billy.
ОтветитьWere was the hole in tube. What patch kit do you like to use. Great video
ОтветитьGood video nice to see some thing new but as a 88M Army vet aka truck driver who has changed 1000s of big trucks tires with nothing but 2 tire spoons and b.f.h. Invest in a tire changing machine. If you are on the road pay the guy who did.😂
ОтветитьThe handle of the Cresent wrench can work well in place of the screwdriver and its smooth so that makes it harder to puncture the tube
ОтветитьI noticed baby powder residue on that innertube, which is also a good trick when sliding one in.
ОтветитьNo other channel makes videos like this. You are the G.O.A.T. of working on motorcycles.
ОтветитьCarefully remove the stick 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьAt 72 I could do all that except the tire off the rim?
ОтветитьIt is on me . Had old riding friends years ago but that changes over the years some passed on some got out of riding altogether some bought brand new bikes and don't want me around they think I may break down and inconvenience them so they won't shut up about me purchasing newer bikes.
It's ok, I wave to other bikers as we pass on the county roads.
Thanks
ОтветитьYou must have the best brakes in the world😊
ОтветитьUseful tips. Thank you.
ОтветитьAre you still in Florida maybe Melbourne
ОтветитьDamn man so much talent. A buddy of mine brought his bike over to change tires and I used the rabcanda and we couldn't get the new rear on and finally took to a shop. Didn't feel too bad when they said it fought them too. Love the videos and education keep them coming 🤘
ОтветитьIs the weed wacker essential?
ОтветитьThat's one rusty old rim
ОтветитьDude my back and sciatic nerve would not survive this. I'd be calling a friend with a ute or a tow truck. Happily pay
ОтветитьThanks Billy for everything you share be safe brother 👍
ОтветитьBring back centre stands 👍
ОтветитьThat is a bad ass bike !! Great video . Thank you for sharing
ОтветитьWhat do you do if you don't have a second motorcycle to break the bead.
ОтветитьGreat video man, of making something happen with what you got. Thanks
ОтветитьGreat job ! Killing it man love videos
ОтветитьCould you just loosen the hub bolts before you jack it up? Also Matt at WTT calls that adjustable wrench an any16th I thought that described it perfectly
ОтветитьIf there’s ANYTHING I’ve learned over the years wrenching on WHATEVER, it’s to remove the stick CAREFULLY!!!
ОтветитьBilly "The Encyclopedia Of Motorcycles" Lane🤘
ОтветитьIt's amazing to see that the early bikes had a lot more provisions to work on them roadside compared to modern Harleys.
Ответить"Dead as Disco". Priceless.
ОтветитьSome 60+years ago, I had a flat on my '48 Indian Chief. Indians could be tilted over onto the side and center stand , allowing wheel with tire to be removed from the bottom of skired fender. I remember the struggle breaking the 500x16 tire from the rim to remove the tube, patch it, and get it back into the tire, then get the tire back into the rim without poking the tube, usually without proper tools. I imagine that fixing a flat on a modern Indian or Harley cruiser is a major non-DIY job.
ОтветитьReal one💪🏼
ОтветитьWhat to throw back to another time when bikers actually fixed their own bikes and the motor company made sure they could do that on the side of the road. Sad to see what it's all evolved into in the name of money.
ОтветитьWhen you put the tube back in that way and it time to inflate it doesn’t bunch up in one spot?
ОтветитьThanks Billy!! I can always count on learning something new.
