Speaking of orbiting a center of mass outside something: I recently learned that Jupiter is so massive that it actually orbits a center of mass ever so slightly outside of the sun, and the sun also orbits that center of mass. So Jupiter and the sun form a star/planet binary system!

Pluto isn't a planet. It is a dwarf planet. Neptune's moon, Triton is very similar to Pluto so, probably the gravity of Neptune took this from the Kuiper Belt. According to this theory Triton was a dwarf planet in the past.
