I think the other piece of this is that I could see Harrison arguing that even if there was a binding contract fanatics is abusing their position as a market leader to sign athletes to under market contracts knowing that when they get to the NFL they are getting a massively underpaid contract.

Fanatics may just argue you wanted this money and knew the risks not our fault if you “over performed” the contract. If you wanted an out after college negotiate that into the deal.

Fanatic could sue every nfl player and that wouldnt change a thing. Athletes will sign with whoever offers the most money. These companies arent going to simp for an athlete who hasnt even played in the nfl yet and weve seen these athletes only have a small window to sell there items. Players have the right to negotiate the best terms for themselves that they can.
If they are a generational talent, and they know it, they should not even enter the draft. just let all the teams know that you are going to be an undrafted free agent and sell your services to the highest bitter.

Marvin Harrison knew what he was signing when he entered college and got that big money deal with fanatics just because he's now in the pros does not make that contract Nolan boyd.. he was not complaining about that contract when he was getting millions of college now that it's only a couple of million and he's got the big bank account now now he wants more. That's not how it works.

Not signing the NFLPA Group Licensing Agreement is a big mistake IMHO. The agreement is signed by most players at the combine. His team signed him to big contract but can’t sell his jersey at their own store. He’s getting petty.

This is a huge red flag. Makes me think Harrison knows he won’t last long in nfl and he’s trying to make as much as possible.
