Matt is a real rally hero, an ordinary, humble man that has had to fight like a tiger to get there, for me he is the ultimate example of relentless desire. Without that desire his talent alone would not have been enough. In these times, it's almost impossible to do what Matt has done.

We have been blessed in Ireland by having him in the Irish Tarmac Championship this year and last. The battles that Matt, Keith Cronin and Callum Devine have had are the stuff of legend and will live long in our memories.

A huge thank you to Matt for thrilling Irish spectators, he's viewed on the hedgerows as one of our own at this stage. Donegal has not been kind to Matt but hopefully this year will be his year on the hills, he deserves it.

You never know Matt keep going mate, you might end up getting a seat in the world or European championship especially in 2027 when the regulations all get changed there should be more manufacturers and more seats available.
