iPhone 14 Pro: Your Biggest Questions, Answered

I’ve seen SOOOOOO many people say burn in isn’t an issue on modern OLED stuff or iPhones specifically. But I know my iPhone X has the keyboard, home bar and top ear icon’s permanently burned in from just 1 or 2 nights I accidentally left it on overnight on max brightness. So I stopped believing any company / person that says burn in isn’t an issue outside of unrealistic and unreasonable scenarios/ extended periods.

I miss notification lights. I wish the always on display would light up a little colored dot for new notifications from favorite apps or something so I can see at a glance and from a distance if I have notifications I care about without having to pick up my phone and scroll through and check.

Average user can get all day battery life with always on display?

Long time fan of Mr. Michael Fisher here. Even back in his days with PocketNow, his reviews were always the ones that I most looked forward to. That remains true even still. This guy could make a review of a double A battery and I'd still watch it just for the story telling element and his unique and always interesting delivery of the product.

Esim is a bad option and this basically take the freedom of switching sim as you travel abroad or just at home.

You seem to really like the notch stuff but to me it just seems like a gimmick . I have z fold and 12 pro max. Just don't see anything worth upgrading for. Nice review. I like your style.

Can somebody give me a quick summary of how to change sims on the 14 pro when traveling to another country. Before i would just remove my US sim and insert my other sim from that country but now with the esim it seems i cant and i wouldnt be able to bring my iphone when traveling

Verizon charged me $30 when I switched my esim. Then boosted my monthly costs to $100/m.

Hello MrMobile, could you do a history of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max's Dynamic Island?

As it turns out, Apple was not the first come up with the Dynamic Island concept. It was Android, or more specifically LG and Honor who started it first. But it's least well-known and forgotten soon after.

The first was arguably the LG V10 to come up with a prototype concept of the Dynamic Island, and the second was Honor View 20.

My 14 pro is getting delivered today and I’m definitely excited, I always get the base model of all my devices so this is my first pro device except for the first gen AirPods pro

Do you prefer the pro size over the pro max?

Ah so dynamics island is kinda a semi multitasking?

In the Philippines, we can use eSim and the nano sim. (Dual sim)
So, we can use the eSim. And use a physical sim if we need to use another sim.

honestly, when I first saw the dynamic island I was impressed on how clever and seamless the transition between software and hardware was; yes, i know it becomes more obvious and apparent in certain lighting conditions but it still works.

I got my iPhone 14 pro as a gift from family in the USA, I don't like the eSim thing, since here in the Philippines we are still using simcards/We have eSim as postpaid. I just use my iPhone for filming and social media. Anyway it's a gift. I'm thankful for it. 😊
