ОтветитьI’m sorry you guys caught COVID! Yuck! Glad everyone is feeling better and is ok now. And sorry to hear about your Mother’s Day. Hope you still had a good Mother’s Day other than the ribs and COVID. I love your storm content it’s so awesome.
ОтветитьThe weather is so nuts this time of year for you guys!
Ответитьthis tornado is a record breaker, for the fastest moving,it was moving 80MPH,the 1 before this was the 2021 mayfield KY EF-4 it was moving 70-75MPH,and the 2013 el reno OK EF-3 was moving 68MPH,and its also the biggest on record in size of 2.6 miles wide, had 296MPH winds, and was on the ground for 19 miles, while mayfield KY beat the 1925 tri state for distance traveled, only differences was mayfield was at night hard to see coming but it was a huge wedge, rated EF-4 tri state was during the day time EF-5 it was F5 back then but very few saw it coming because of what it looked like, most say it was a low cloud close to the ground.wile theres toss ups between joplin of 2011,jarrell in 1997,and may 3rd 1990 of moore oklahoma for winds speeds cuz all were between 302-318MPH,while 1991 andover kansas ans joplin did the most damage, yours that hit your area beat mayfield and el reno for ground speed,it was a large wedge, and it had 197MPPH wind speeds and they rated it a high end EF-4 glad your ok
Ответитьbrookfield iowa is the one im talking about it started near grand island and lincon Nebraska
ОтветитьI was in the area chasing the tornado and doing Search and rescue. Edit, it was really bad. I used my 2018 ram 1500 that I use for chasing this thing is sweet
ОтветитьBusy this year i had 3 circulations pass over my home . 2 put us in the basement and the 3d was at 330 am so i dropped the ball on that one. The tornadoes roped out before it reached us and the 3rd was only radar indicated.😅
ОтветитьMay 21st I had to hide in the Tornado Shelter that day too it was earlier in the day for me about 1PM
Ответитьmy city got destroyed 2 weaks ago im at my grandparints house
ОтветитьI’ve watched some of your blogs before but never commented on them haha, but this tornado was very catastrophic and I remember tracking it, this tornado could potentially or might be rated EF5 which is highest on the Enhanced Fujita Scale which a scale for tornadoes that mainly focuses, if there’s a house completely destroyed, slabbed off its foundation,it’s considered a EF5.
Ответить6 years later, i still reccomend moving to Wisconsin!
ОтветитьWho else love to relax and watch the love jar vlogs
ОтветитьThe Greenfield tornado was rated an EF4. One of the highest ranks on the Enhanced Fujita Scale
ОтветитьVery recent research on that Greenfield tornado had observed winds speeds from the Doppler on Wheels of ~318 mph. It is not clear when those winds speeds were recorded but just an interesting fact.
ОтветитьOmg how far away are you from greenfield
ОтветитьI strongly recommend you go to the store and ask where you can find a NOAA Weather All Hazards Radio. Follow the instructions to set it up. It will get alerts STRAIGHT from the National Weather Service. You may have to search through the channels. It has a siren and warning, watch, and advisory lights. You can also see what was issued.
ОтветитьHey from Bettendorf, iowa!! Girl it was INSANE!!
ОтветитьWe had a couple tornados in Maryland like 2 weeks ago. Saw one of them on video. Did some damage in a lot of places. Quite unusual for Maryland.
ОтветитьIt hit me I live in Iowa
ОтветитьAnd I watch max velocity
Ответитьmy name is darren from huddersfield england we measure our thunderstorms in miles like 1 and 2 and 3 and so on awsome vlogs as always take care and stay safe
ОтветитьI live in Greenfield Iowa, just came across this video we are ok the tornado came through just a block and a half away from us, the house was shaking and when we realized what just happened we ran straight towards where the tornado hit to make sure everyone was ok, sadly five people died and 31 were severely hurt, there was two by fours sticking out of the ground like missles. Here lately new info came in that the tornado had winds of up to 309 mph to 318 mph which broke the record for the strongest tornado in the world, after all that we had one derachio, another tornado that came close to town and now, a flash flood warning, times are tough but glad you guys are ok
ОтветитьI remember that storm I have to get off the school bus that day that’s how I remember yeah I go to school at Western Dubuque 🖤❤️bobcats yeah I still remember when that tornado hit Greenville Iowa that day
ОтветитьDid you grab the birb and brought he/she down to the basement

I live very close to greenfield
ОтветитьJust to let you know we are supposed to get more storms today in Iowa so watch out and make sure to watch as well too think you stay safe 👍🏻 and to night as well too
ОтветитьGood evening, I am in contact with meteorologists that work at the NWS. This tornado although has a rating of EF4, is now unofficially the tornado with the fastest ever projected wind speeds ever recorded. The 2013 El Reno tornado in Oklahoma, had wind speeds estimated to be up to 341 mph; This tornado however has unofficially beaten the record.
ОтветитьI also live in Iowa around the greenfield area, iowa has been hit really hard this year is the most tornados i have ever gone through in my entire life
ОтветитьI hope you guys are ok!
ОтветитьThink back to the following events.........
Moore, Oklahoma: 1999 and 2013
Parkersburg, Iowa on May 25, 2008
Joplin, Missouri: $3 Billion in Tornado Damage there
April 27, 2011: Tornado Outbreaks can be very large like the Super Outbreak was on that day in the Deep South.
Entire towns can be wiped off the map, or in case of Star Wars Day (May 4), wiped off the Galactic Starchart like Greensburg, Kansas was in 2007.
“IT’S A FLIPPING MOSQUITO!” got me laughing for ten minutes 😂😂
ОтветитьIt’s interesting to know that you guys finish the School Year in the middle of the actual year, I’m from Sydney Australia so totally different.
Loving these storm videos, sorry for a late comment.
Love your videos so much they bring em joy to my everyday lifestyle ❤
ОтветитьKenosha, wi Sadly got 2 tornado. Scared me a lot.
ОтветитьI was 4 blocks from this storm on a storm shelter but I don’t trust those with over 300 mph winds in the high tornado rather take my chance driving I know enough to drive and be behind it or ho opposite that’s why I got 8 weather apps and Ryan Hsll on when it’s storming
ОтветитьOh, you're making my mouth water, I have to try that for Dinner, thank you!!!! 😊❤❤
ОтветитьThat is awesome that you are taking a class on weather i youst to chase tornados with a friend of mine and if you want to learn more about tornados and savear storms I don't now if there is a national weather service in your town but they offer classes on how to be a trained tornado spotter I am a huge weather buff keep up your good work

ОтветитьSo far this year 2024, I couldn’t even count to 5 between thunder & Lightning. I don’t know how the atmosphere changed in Illinois. I guess this is a stronger change.
