I think this is the perfect example of why you shouldn't be in this mindset of "6 months for compromise and 1 year for marriage". As a woman you should always wait at least 2 or 3 years (I still think it's not enough tho) being boyfriend and girlfriend, and if posible living with that person to ACTUALLY get to know how he is, his behavior in stressful situations and more. If you give someone the benefit of having you as a wife in a single year, if they are manipulators they can wait and hold their shit until they have you.
