it's funny how people hate on fl studio but i watch the donda documentary and they were using it

FL isn't so bad if you read the manual. the automation is probably some of the better in daws. you can also trigger automations in the step sequencer after drawing them out. if you link them via channel groups you can make easy side chaining.

I switch to FL studio because of things like its automations 🤣

I only use automation for fade intro/ outro.... and even that is a pain sometimes the way the damn clips work

How to disable the automation guys? Do you just delete?

You can just link to midi controller and record using midi's slider or knob.

I have never had a drama out of FL automation

The setting to change in FL Studio is turn off “initialize automation clips automatically”. Turn that shit off so when you delete an automation clip it’s gone, and the controls are now unbound. By default deleting clip doesn’t remove it from the knob.

I used to use this technique a lot where you manually draw it but I forgot how to do it. This video came just in time!

Do you think FL’s manual automation system is bad? Well it’s not, because you don’t have to use it! You can actually record automation in a much less precise way by using a feature that comes standard in every DAW ever
