They packed a lot into this little gem.

Unfortunately they rushed it a little bit in order to sell it in time for Christmas. But now with the accessories out and the firmware improved... it's quite impressive.

Can you turn off face tracking when the camera is facing you?

Wish it had some optical zoom- it would be perfect then.

Do you change shutter speed and frame rate while you are filming - e.g. for the next scene? Or do you let it constantly on a selected value? I need some praxis tip here.

The update just made it work as it was described in the commercial. Nothing else. So they just basically finished the product.
It's still garbage.
When the battery is worn you need to buy a new one. The file format doesn't work with Adobe for some reason. The design is very bad, USB underneath.
Facial tracking is still focusing on the background.

Dji was a big waste of money.

How did you get good audio though?

I have never used LUTs before. I use iMovie to edit my video. Is it possible to use your fantastic gift into iMovie?

Yes, the Osmo Pocket update this time around made a HUGE difference! Face tracking is not only better than it was, but it also now picks your face back up after losing it. The audio having volume settings is a nice touch I haven't tried yet, but the initial update that fixed the audio was so good it couldn't be bad.
Adding Pro settings is the best part, not having to use the phone to get most of the better settings is very helpful.
It seems that DJI is really trying hard to get updates out to the Osmo Pocket quickly and what they're doing is making it a very good camera! The low light capabilities are actually great for vlogging situations where acceptable, even pretty good, video is needed quickly in bad lighting. The motion lapse, slow-mo, panorama modes... This is getting to be a really bitchen camera! Honestly, if you have this and a GoPro Hero7 Black you have all you need to get some excellent video for just about any application.

Question, I have a weebill lab, I like to shoot with my camera. Would you recommend me to have the dji osmo pocket or the gopro 7 black as another point of view?

There is still a focus problem but not as bad as before. Sometimes your face is soft and focuses on the background. Like all the comments, I hope they fix this soon.

How much is true about the 400 Battery charge lifecycle? Will it be useless after a year or so?

The image quality is surprising for a device of that price point and size. I'm reaching the limits of what my iPhone 7+ can do and even with FilmicPro and flat profile I get more noise and blocking than I'm willing to accept. This video, however, showed the great quality of the video itself as long as it's in focus. If not, the video falls apart dramatically.

Why are the colors total shit through this entire video? Super dull and not vivid at all

One thing I see in your video that I see in all others is the back focus kind of issue. You’re in focus slightly in some and then in others in nails it spot on. For a pocket hand camera the focus point should be 12 inches or more. When you get in around what looks to be 15/18 inches it’s not tack sharp. I don’t understand that about a lot of these cameras.

There should really be a 1.8 or 2.8 lens on these so you can get a good depth of field. Maybe I’m asking for to much?

DJI has very poor service in repair or replacement i will not buy any of there products any more

Doesn't look very sharp on the self shots of you moving. Were you maybe to close? Also, the contrast is flat, a lot of flare too,.
