Had a Peugeot 206 to test for a customer a lot of years ago for 'gearbox noise'. Took it on test and it sounded as though it would self destruct in less than a mile. Returned to dealership and told receptionist that the 'box was toast, but I would try topping up the oil level. Filled it up with oil (driveshaft seal was leaking) and tested again. It was perfect, no noise at all and worked perfectly. Customer drove off (we didn't charge), no tip and didn't book it in for the seal; his mate did his repairs.

I’m halfway through watching your I’m Drowning in Cars video. I’ve seen the Ford Mondeo estate that you’re gonna end up scrapping… I love the wheels on it and they would look gray on my 2008 mondeo. How much would you want for the wheels??? The cars owes you £200 so much guess £50 for the wheels and you still get £200 for the scrapped car 🤔 Let me know 👍

You need some process where likely with your main lot, that you have a calendar to set to when you get rid of cars, even at a loss. Looks like you are trying to do that.

Most of the cars in this episode are best disposed of as quickly as possible on the lot of "Take it Away Motors".

Hi guys, the Honda hybrid probably turns off as it’s gone into EV mode. I’ve got a 2014 Honda Fit import with a 1.5 litre hybrid engine, that’s what that does. Mine does up to 80mpg on a run(60-65mpg around town). Great little car. Anyway good luck Ben! Just remember Tugboat is the brains of the operation. 😂

You are beginning to sound like a hoarder, almost all of the cars are more valuable as parts cars so therefore you need to breath in deeply and send them for scrap.

Why do you say the Civic Hybrid is an import..? The saloon shape was built as a hybrid for uk… it’s a simple idea….jazz engine (1.3) cvt gearbox, Honda split them and fitted a electric motor in between to just add “petrol free” torque… at the time it was £thousands cheaper than competitor…but on paper same mpg … it was replaced by the 2nd shape Insight that was basically the same mechanical principle… 😊

Lotus was once owned by Proton so the former had much design input with the Gen 2 -including an all new 1.3 and 1.6 engine ,as Proton previously used a Mitsubishi engine. . They also sorted the handling and some body styling. I had a 1.6 as company car in 2005 and it was perfectly sound, useable and economical.

I’m a huge Renaultsport fan so would love to see a rebuild on the Trophy (and a giveaway of it please 😂)

We had a 207 newto family in 09. 3 years old the fan started coming on even though temp normal, but pink coolant got contaminated with oil. Headgasket head done new gasket, thermostat pump the lot.i even changed the radiator to rule anything out. This was 29k 18 months later at 42k same thing. Oil in coolant, but no sign of other way. I did the headgasket again, sent head to be tested came back fine. Put it back together and ok again. We got rid after. Common thing on the 1.4 tu engine
