Yes, have to watch 2 or 3 times to let it all sink in
ОтветитьHere soon I will be traveling for hours on a motorcycle from Alabama to Manowi Nebraska. We're gonna see what her little town is all about.
ОтветитьWatch “The most disturbing things in each state iceberg”
ОтветитьI could have sworn Oklahoma was the longest with no gas stations? lol. Everytime I drove from Houston to Nebraska, I tried to plan ahead. EVERY time I ended up in the middle of OK, in
the middle of the night, pouring down rain, on empty - with no gas station in sight.
With the Centralia, PA fire, they did try to put it out. It proved impossible due to it being hard to access and has 200 years worth of fuel. It's literally a gigantic coal fire. So instead, they mandated a full evacuation of the town. Cuz this is a Chernobyl size disaster, but it's coal burning sinkholes under the town instead of radiation.
ОтветитьCalifornian here. Yes, we are jam packed full of people. Mainly the cities, but the small town I live in thats part of a county full of spread out small towns with hills and countryside that separates the towns are getting pretty crowded. While for the most part it's still pretty peaceful, I can see the difference in traffic compared to 20+ years ago.
ОтветитьForgive me, Adam, but I was expecting to be bored. Shame on me; I should have known better. That was completely random and also fascinating. Thanks for sharing this!
ОтветитьYou should check out something on Centralia. It's so interesting. They can't put the fire out, they tried and it started creating sinkholes thru the town. In 1979 a 12 year old fell into a sinkhole that opened unexpectedly under him. He was able to grab a tree root and pull himself out. The population went from 1000 in 1980 to just 5 in 2020. In 1983 most residents moved and accepted a buyout offer, relocating to a non burning town. Before and after pictures in the town are fascinating. There is even a game on Steam called Centralia. I don't think it's any good according to the reviews, but it exists anyway.
ОтветитьThat Burger King is located in Mattoon, Illinois, and is still in operation today. Their burgers are friggin' awesome! 10 out of 10, highly recommend.
ОтветитьI have a shorter street than that here in Michigan
Ответитьthe Virginia fact about the Capitols location was incorrect. Richmond is in the southern part of Virginia not in Northern Virginia where he pointed to.
ОтветитьMy belfast is 30 miles away. And Im a McDonald. And my state is on that map
ОтветитьVery fun the way he weaved all of those fun facts through all of the states and connected them all. Scott County, Tennessee apparently didn't agree with the Confederacy. This was during our civil war when the Northern States fought the Southern States over slavery, among other things. Tennessee sided with the pro-slavery South and the Southern States attempted to secede from the US. He doesn't say why, but the residents of Scott County likely believed that slavery should be abolished so they succeeded from Tennessee and sided with the North in the war.
ОтветитьYes The original burger king is still in Illinois, Mattoon Illinois for those who want to visit
ОтветитьDawg gotta come to Snake Pit at the Indy500 fucking party while hearing Indy cars going 200 with 300-400k people as well is insane to experience
ОтветитьITs a skill to have useless knowledge your one step closer to start telling dad jokes.
ОтветитьWhen we say each state is different, there you go! This was fun!! You should do a video on Centralia - the underground fire. It's very weird and cool.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing. I live in Washington state lot of these fun facts I've never heard of .
ОтветитьThe Colorado street of 26 miles, Colfax Avenue, is not a "road", it is a continuous-running "street", in the city of Denver.
ОтветитьThe fact about canadas population is actually slightly off, we’re up to 40M now
ОтветитьToo much interruption.
Ответить5 minutes for a red light would eventually drive me insane!!!
ОтветитьGrowing up in NH there was no seat belt law at all until 1997.
ОтветитьDont you just like to live in the USA 🇺🇸
ОтветитьI’ve actually visited that Nebraska town of 1 person and eaten in that “restaurant” shown in the video…the menu is small but good.
ОтветитьAdam,
Contiguous United States =
The 48 U.S. states on the mainland
The length of Colfax Avenue is almost long enough to host a Marathon race.
ОтветитьI live on the north side of the longest bridge in America the Lake Pontchartrain bridge in Louisiana. South side is your way to New Orleans and the north side where i live is Mandeville. The drive across that bridge is long as hell and can get very weary cause there’s nothing but water, it can be dangerous especially if you’re tired!
ОтветитьIf someone commits murder in Yellowstone NP they will be tried for murder in the state they traveled from just like being n a boat.
ОтветитьGo to the Indianapolis 500 and you won't regret it. Well your wallet will but cars flying in rectangular/circles at 230mph+. F1 doesn't even quite match
ОтветитьThe Centralia, PA fire is what they based the Silent Hill games on. Of course, it's all different for the upcoming game, since that one's set in Japan.
ОтветитьThe mafia takes people to that part of Yellowstone all the time to off them as they cannot be tried for mur der because of the 6th Amendment.
ОтветитьYou ever come out to Northern California, I'll give you a giant list of cool things to see!
ОтветитьCouple other random fun facts about Texas...
1. It was home to the last civil war battle. The Battle of Palmito Ranch happened near current-day Brownsville after the Confederacy's surrender due to how long it took for word to spread of the surrender. The battle was a clear Confederate victory.
2. One of the most well known towns (due to it being in a country song by Waylon Jennings) in Texas is actually a ghost town. Luckenbach, Texas has a population of 0 people (unless there is a concert happening there).
3. One of the largest college football stadiums in the country is located in College Station, TX at Texas A&M University (holding 102,733 people, but has gotten up to 110,633 people).
4. The 2nd largest canyon in the U.S. is Palo Duro located in Texas near Canyon, TX.
The longest road is route 66
ОтветитьAdam, I live in Idaho but my Wife is a California girl. We go visit her family in Sacramento but we like to go camping in on the coast near the lost coast redwoods. An area twice the size of GB plus Ireland ( look up timberhaul road in California) and we can spend 3 or 4 days and not see another person or vehicle.
Point being is that ONLY parts of California are packed full of people, most of it is basically wilderness with roads once you get away from the southern coast.
The 100-mile stretch is not fun lol. There's no service for pretty much all of it.
ОтветитьWhen I drove from Detroit to Washington state, there’s big signs fair warning you that when you’re about to go through Utah you better get gas. I think it was 118 miles between where I got gas to where I could get gas again.
ОтветитьI had a tire blow out on the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway. There isn't a shoulder, so you just have to keep going. Wasn't much rubber left by the time I got to the other side. HAHA!
ОтветитьGOD BLESS
ОтветитьAs a person who lives in North SC. I just knew they would bring up North SC. It is home of Eartha Kitt (Cat Woman).
ОтветитьThey did Wisconsin dirty we have many cooler facts and they bring up the packers.
