Smartrons (class 80) are more powerful. However they don't put them on the Optima train, because it is forbidden to leave the country, even to the border stations.

car/sleeper trains were once common in Europe. One is still thriving in Finland. The German DB threw in the towel years ago.

Nicely done video to show the European countries that are hardly mentioned. In India, train travel for days and nights is not uncommon, but the enjoyment is getting down in the stations and buying food. The train journey in the West European countries like Germany, France, England, Sweden, Norway is unforgettable.
