Instead of composing your next track step by step, you can also use the loop feature of REAPER to layer sounds on top of each other while constantly getting the current state fed back to you in a loop, which is the principle that so-called loop machines use to arrange soundscapes in e.g. a live environment. REAPER allows us to utilize the same principle within the MIDI editor. Watch this video for a demonstration on how this can work in an accessible way.
