Thanks for the video , I tell you my problem .... I have a horstmann 2 way valve and have 3 heating selections , upstairs, downstairs and hot water .. If I select hot water the downstairs rads heat up also , downstairs is working when selected also however upstairs heating has stopped working unless I override it with the Lever .

Hi, if there is a constant clicking noise when the themostat is triggered on, what does this mean. It goes off when not on but has been clicking ever since yesterday for the upstairs heating.

Great - I have had problems with a number of zone valves where the tap itself has got a bit stiff and this has caused the place where the zone valve keys into it (invariably made of plastic) to 'round out' and not be a tight fit - then you get all sorts of intermittent problems. Probably down to hard water jamming up the actual tap valve. One to look out for!

I have the same zone valve, mines moves across manually to open freely ( energised ) & closes itself, however doesn’t go into the open position automatically. What could be causing this?

Thanks

Hello, my new motor valve opens manually before connecting to the wires but once connected it wont open manually not auto. I thought the old motor valve was the culprit but with new motor valve it does the same thing. local plumbers cant figure out what the issue it. What could be the issue here? Another motor valve opens ok manually but not opening on auto. Could this be the wire/electric cord issues?

Thank you for making this video! My sliding mechanism will never move to the "manual open" side and I suspect that this valve is stuck closed (part of radiant heating system - pipe below valve is cold). Other zones work fine and are hot. Do you know if there are serviceable parts within the valve or anyway to open manually? Thanks!

How did you wire it to test whether it energises. There are 5 wires. Blue and yellow seem logical but orange, grey and brown. Do you just wire to a plug, which is live??

And what would be reason, when valve is energised I cannot move the valve freely and neither open it manually. But when de-energised I can manually open it.

Hello. Many thanks for this video. my Honeywell valve seems to be making a metallic clicking sound whenever switched on? Do you think replacing it would solve the issue?
