Oh wow love her work. It’s so sensual, but has some edge. Just beautiful. I don’t know if MB is going to be good for Chanel 🤔 but really I don’t know anyone who would be great in Chanel, so I guess, someone has to go lol and we will see😳🤪🙏❤️

Would prefer Louise to stay at Carven. Love these more discreet old French houses revivals

Hi Mary, this really makes business sense to hire Mattheu Blazy. Chanel wants to lift the handbag sale volume. It must be flat with a price hike. Having a designer from Bottega Veneta to refresh the line of Chanel flap bag. As for the fashion he is not Heda S. cheer from westcoast.

Louise Trotter is a great choice. I worked with her at Whistles, she is down to earth and very talented. ❤

I've not heard of Louise before but I really like what I see here...really like her approach to shapes and form...it seems unique. One thought did come to mind, I thought her work looks best on very slender frames....maybe because they show off the unique form of the garments better. But these are just based off the images in this video only. A good designer should be able to accommodate all sizes. I am not sure who wears BV RTW though....I am intrigued to learn what their RTW customers are like.

Not familiar with her work but LOVE what I've seen! More importantly, I can see her style working seamlessly with BV! Also, shoutout to the BV HR team for their speed and consistency!

Louise wouldve worked well at bottega but blazy won’t. His bottega version is currently strong because of the inclusion of artisans involvement, craftsmanship, and adding more life time guarantee. However, those are business decisions; ie operation management. Chanel is currently turning into a fast fashion because of the ceo not the creative director. Hiring a former fmcg head is chanel’s main problem.

😍🥰🥹🙏🏼🥹😍🥰

Omg you said it PERFECTLY!!!!! Although I will be so sad to see Matthieu leave Bottega… this is the BEST case scenario 😍😍😍😍

He will do WONDERS for Chanel, and I support his cause just truly so much. As I have said on repeat, the work he’s done for inclusivity and shining a light on minorities within the fashion industry I will just forever be grateful for. Bringing this energy to Chanel is necessary to say the least… not to mention how genius of a designer he is 🙏🏼

Louise Trotter will be the perfect successor I couldn’t agree more!!!!!!!!! The work she did to revive Carven we both I think compared to what Daniel Lee did for Bottega… so seems like a perfect match for me!!!! I will love to see what she does with a house that assuming has a much larger budget, and can’t wait to see a bit of whimsy and feminine energy within Bottega’s RTW. Not to mention claps for another woman at the helm!!!!!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Thankfully some positive news 🥹

I work for BV, as an insider, the Women’s RTW (and RTW in general) have been such a huge struggle… the lack of novelty in its commercial collection is really stark, runway doesn’t translate to the stores, not sure if it’s Blazy’s decision or the upper mgmt, lots of things aren’t as nice as the numbers look, in fact. The surpluses are most likely just from the insane increase in prices, not really in terms of volume. I think the CD from Carven may be a good evolution for BV WRTW. Well, let’s see… in terms of Blazy going to Chanel, mmm… ok. It’s not a spectacular decision, but ok (better than Hedi cuz he’s gotten so repetitive, from Dior Homme to Celine to Saint Laurent.. he’s basically homogenized all those 3 brands). Also, Blazy will have more resources to work with at Chanel, then again, slapping double C’s anywhere will sell anyway
