The craziest part about this is that I'm sure somebody just input the information into AI that was the basis their decision to cancel it.

I work for a government agency, and we had a contract canceled because it had the word "equal" in it. Meanwhile, the name of the program office literally has the word equal in it. It was canceled for DEI and the contract has nothing to do with DEI. It provides admin support to the program office to help it process certain transactions.

Mind you it is some random person from Dodge directing our contracting officers to cancel contracts. Contracting officers are the only ones who have the authority to bind the government. They are supposed to be independent and not make decisions under duress. They tell them to cancel the contract within a few hours of being told to do so.

Needless to say, they've had to rescind the termination of quite a few contracts recently.

This is so cruel how are there still people in the 21st century in 2025 still like this I don’t see how people can just watch people suffer like this it’s so disgusting and evil my heart goes out to all the people living nearby by that chemical plant and families affected and people who lost loved ones I first heard about cancer alley last summer and when I read and watched videos and learned how it affected people I broke down and cried for a whole week and had meltdowns. Even though I don’t live near there it has affected me mentally because how can people let people and there families suffer it makes me so sad I wish I could do something and make this problem all go away for them so they can go outside and breathe good nature air GOD gave us all and do things like take walks or ride bikes kids should enjoy there childhood and play outside and enjoy life but because people in power are sitting back and not taking action it has gotten worse Prayers that something good can come along and happen for the people this breaks my heart watching people go through this.
