ОтветитьGreat video! Been waiting for this a long time! Good to see pops is doing well! Thank you both for another great video
ОтветитьI really like the practical application of geometry. Being a hands on guy I appreciate the the time it takes to do it right the first time! And homemade tools rule! You should see the rig I made out of old bed frame rails! Thanks Paul! Short but sweet!
ОтветитьGreat information! Thank you, Paul! You brighten up my Saturday mornings!
ОтветитьVery informative and educational video from the masters! Thanks guys!

ОтветитьOur local model a club disbanded last year and I miss these kinda informal training sessions....Bob so much reminds me of the guys in the club....thanks for the knowledge...
ОтветитьAnother great video! Keeping things simple, but effective, is the Model A way!
Isn't it time to take the '29 for a drive yet!?!?! 😀
Man, Bob is always on the mark to getting the Model A questions answered, he knows his stuff. It's easy to see where you get your knowledge and passion for the Model A from. Thanks for sharing Paul, really like this one. I hope everyone out there has a great weekend.
ОтветитьAwesome.
ОтветитьBob is amazing! An encyclopedia of of Model A Knowledge. I wish him well. You are blessed to have him as a mentor but you know that.
ОтветитьGreat learning experience as always! Paul is there a way to check if the axle is true while still on the car?
ОтветитьYour dad is great! Think he would adopt me?
ОтветитьHi Bob and Paul! Thanks for the video. Im happy to learn some practical ways to check the front axle. (Mail truck is looking great in the background!)
ОтветитьI have a bent front axle that I’m taking to the machine shop to see if he could bend it straight.
I was hoping this video would show a bent axle being straightened, but I got the idea of what to do.
I wish I could send my 29 truck down to you guys, im up in auburn, its almost done but I dont know what I should do. But thank you for a the info over the years!
ОтветитьA bit of old school technology reminds me of my old man.
ОтветитьWhy does your father have a different last name from you?
ОтветитьClicked to comment on the thumbnail pic alone.
Wake up kids, listen to the older guys as they can pass along all kinds of information and most of em are some real characters.
Not directly axle related, but if I’m not mistaken frame sag can adversely influence the camber angle. Frame sag seems to be mostly concentrated at the rear engine mount area as this is where the bulk of the engine and transmission assembly weight is brought to bear on the frame rails. If the engine tail drops in relation to the front crossmember, the wishbone socket will follow suite; changing camber. Can this be significant leading to straight line instability or the irritating slow speed shimmy ? My 31 had a very slight tendency towards the slow speed head shake but it was cured by bringing all front end components back to tip top condition. However, it seems not uncommon to hear of folks claiming to have tried and repaired all only to have the problem persist. My thought has always been, “Have you evaluated the car’s frame?”. Valid?
Thank you Bob, always enjoy your presentations.
Another great video, enjoy listening to both of you. Technical information to keep our beloved cars on the road. THANKS and God Bless.
ОтветитьYankee ingenuity .You guys are always thinking.Who would have thunk? Thanks again D.J.
ОтветитьPaul I really enjoyed this video. I'm considering check mine on the 33. Thanks
ОтветитьAnother great video !
ОтветитьGreat video as always 👍
ОтветитьGreat job Bob and Paul!
ОтветитьMan, what an awesome video. Thank you for sharing this jewel.
ОтветитьHello Paul ,what is the best way to remove the model A radiator and the radiator shell? Do I need to cut the wire from the headlights that run through the radiator shell? Thanks.
ОтветитьWe were at the annual Kiwanis Club pancake fundraiser when I got this video. Just got time to check it out.
Very good info, I'll store it in my head until needed.
My dad was a big Model A fan, he told me many stories about driving, riding, and owning A's and working in AA's. I miss him daily.
Thanks Bob and Paul for sharing your knowledge
You guys are the real masters!!
I need more videos 😂 I found your channel a couple of days ago and since then I watched all your videos on model A. Now I'm thinking of getting me a model A 😂
ОтветитьLiking the cone trick/tools. cant replace experience Old Age and Cunning always beats youth and enthusiasm. Thanks Bob
ОтветитьLove the videos I had a hard time getting my head off on my 1930 model A I ended up using tree felling wedges because they are hard plastic worked great and they can’t nick the head or block
ОтветитьHi Paul! I have a 1931 model A, with a B engine... Where can I find B engine cylinder head with a 3 whole for the water pump? Thanks.
ОтветитьI have an axle that is tweaked horizontally. Using a straight edge, I can clearly see where the bend is. It puts the bosses about an 1/8th out of square. So what's your advise on straightening?
ОтветитьInteresting stuff 🤔👌👍👏
ОтветитьI understand that Bob made the cones, but is there an off the shelf set that you have found?
