Is it as modular 9r customisable as a regular ar15/ar10? If I want it in a caliber they don't offer, can I change the barrel out myself as easily?

Being a Cali resident, I don't hate it. That's a wicked 308

I took my CMMG BR4 to the range for the first time. Your video has a lot to do with my purchase decisions. It's my first rifle. Never shot or owned one before. I run about 140 rounds through it. It run with out issues, little to no recoil but even though I was taking breaks in between 2-3 mags, the barrel and the shroud was getting hotter and hotter towards the end. It was still warm even when I got home which I never experienced with pistols. Is this normal for rifles?

I think it's one of the best ranch rifles, aesthetically. Except for the stock. Don't like that shape. I'd like to see a nice walnut stock on there.

I hate that something like this even has to exist. I'd rather keep traditional style AR pattern rifles common use than try to bend the knee every time the CADOJ decides to ban something new or circumnavigate the second amendment.

IF I didn't already buy an Aero M5 w/ 18" .308 barrel and throw an AR Maglock on there I might be interested if the price was comparable... However the controls on the featured rifle look awkward compared to traditional AR's, on top of being more expensive I believe. My "home defense" gun is a humble ruger mini-30 ranch rifle with a sling on it, so I understand the appeal of a firearm that won't get you looked at too hard by neighbors and/or the state when they change the laws AGAIN.

My search for a personalized DMR is over! Seems like a perfect mix of M1A and AR-10 with close to bolt accuracy. 20" barrel with a good enough optic and I'll have my perfect DMR rifle with quick follow-up capability and the "just in case" rapid fire and evade option too. Oh, and the multi-state legal is a bonus. The only thing missing is a good long distance accuracy review, no one has one. Stay up!

Definitely an attractive option in .308. I can't remember now if you or retired Officer Greg at the OG Danger Show channel went over the internals of the 5.56 version, but If this is using a Magpul stock for the Remington 870, then the bolt can't have a rat tail tang going into the stock, which is something I wouldn't be a fan of. What would be nice is if the purchaser had the option to buy the upper and lower receivers separate, and if the upper worked on both the current lower receiver and a standard AR-10 lower receiver that was aesthetically matched to it. Another thing I wonder about with CMMG is that they seem to always use 4140 button rifled barrels, and it would be nice if they offered cold hammer forged barrels in their guns, nitrided or chrome lined.

Ranch rifles suck, I prefer bleu cheese shotguns

born and raised in CA but I've moved in and out multiple times over the years so I can't pull the Freedom Week mags or anything like that. Reason I like this is if I'm limited to 10 rounds when I'm heading back to visit fam and enjoy the beach, I'd rather have em be 308 rather than 556. I have lots of AR's and AKs but I hate trying to make those featureless

My issue with the Dissent line that CMMG offers is that these very easily could have been piston operated firearms and they would have been great but instead they chose to go with a modifed AR-18 type system which is not my cup of tea. Ether go full AR-18 Gas Piston with that style of bolt carrier or do something else if you want to do an elongated internal piston system the AR10/15 are known for.
