Agreed, this is surprisingly sweet. I love this musical score so much; I listen to it when I have trouble sleeping. Also Matthew Bourne made a stage adaptation ballet to this movie and it was SO magically beautiful! Another Tim Burton must watch is his movie Big Fish

Danny Elfman did the music as he does for most Burton movies but he's better known as the lead singer of Oingo Boingo...my favorite.

You weren't confusing Tim burton with Quentin Tarantino were you? Most of his movies are pretty wholesome.

The music is very Batman Returns. Love it! Danny Elfman and Tim Burton is such a great combo. I can’t wait to you see Beetlejuice 2. You won’t be sorry.

It’s amazing how different Johnny Depp in real life is to the characters he plays. Im mostly thinking Edward Scissorhands and Willie Wonka. He’s a great actor.

He didn't give him scissorhands. He already had them. He was oke of the robots in the factory. He was the one chopping veggies. He turned that into Edward.

Yes, Johnny and Winona dated. They were in love. He protected her more than anyone he’s been with. He was her first sexual partner. But their lifestyles drove them apart. They still have lots of love & respect for each other. She actually gave a statement during his Amber Heard trial telling ppl how gentle of a person he is.

I remember when Johnny Depp had a 'Winona Forever' tattoo. Then when they broke up he got part of it covered up. So afterwards the tattoo said 'Wino Forever'.

I think what most people think constitutes a Christmas movie is, the theme of the movie and if it takes place during Christmas. Die hard doesn’t really have a moral or theme. IMO. 😅

My favorite Burton film, top 10 easily. The score alone makes me emotional. Elfman really is a genius at music, Depps performance makes me cry so much.
Big Fish is a huge underrated film by Burton so amazing highly recommend

Glad you liked this! I love this movie. This was my introduction to Tim Burton as a kid in the 90s so my first impression was he had a heart and made great, love-story movies. But this might actually be his only one like that. He's moreso about gothic art and a kooky, understated sense of humor.

What do you mean it's not an Xmas movie? His creator gave him an Xmas present early, them being his hands.

The neighborhood that is shown is in Florida. The movie producer had to pay the home owners to be able to paint the houses. They also had to pay to get it painted back to the original color.

I remember many years ago at a pop-up Halloween store they had some scissor hands for a Edward Scissorhands costume. Baylor really well-made and I wanted them just to have them but they was like $20 and I didn't have the money to get them.

The tent around the house is to fumigate it for pest. They basically wrap your house in this air tight tarp and spray this gas all inside your house and ot suppose to kill anything wnd everything pest or rodent related. I don't know if they do stuff like that anymore but I know back in those days it was a really big popular way of getting rid of bugs or rodents out of your house.

Edward scissor hand was one of my favorite movie characters.

This remains one of my favorite scores of all time. It is also such a beautiful sendoff to Vincent Price, God rest his soul. This is just such a cute, adorable, and sweet retelling of Frankenstein, and an absolutely wonderful tale of the origin of snow.

I always thought Edward Scissorshands was a metaphor for hurting souls with PTSD, especially when she said "HUG ME" and he answered "I CAN'T!" ...Thank you Sir for your reaction to one of my most beloved films! ❤
