Is white glue acceptable to stick it down with?
ОтветитьThank you so much yes that’s really really helpful and useful too.
ОтветитьThanks this was really helpful, and also live the tip to put brushes into water before using the medium. Your work is gorgeous and these videos are great 👍🏻thanks for sharing 🤗
ОтветитьThank You! I enjoyed this process. I am wondering if you would use the same process for dried plant material (flowers leaves etc,) especially laying a sheet of paper on top and useing a tool to adheard and remove the bubbles?
Ответитьfrom my experience doing collage on canvas does not work on long term. The canvas expends contracts and pieces you glued on will start peeling off or wrinkle or both.I prefer on Masonite board.
ОтветитьHey what glue and the coating was used in the video??
ОтветитьI tried using spray adhesive and the paper peeled right up. So does this mixing medium make the paper wet and rippled?
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you!
ОтветитьGreat idea. Thanks for sharing
ОтветитьGrateful to see a collage technique that doesn't coat both surface and paper, and only light layer over. HUGE fan of furnishing <3
ОтветитьVery useful tips, thank you
ОтветитьVery useful
ОтветитьLove your accent
ОтветитьThank you! So clear and practical.
ОтветитьMatte or gloss medium Kathy? I’m not very experienced so I defer to your knowledge. If you use matte won’t it slightly dull the piece? I usually only use matte medium for a layer over the finished piece.
ОтветитьHowzit doll. Nice video!
ОтветитьHi! I have a question- do you think you could in theory paint the canvas in between layers of doing this and collating with newspaper or magazine clippings perhaps. Maybe with markers? What kind of canvas is that and would it work on another canvas? Over a coat of paint?
ОтветитьIs the Elmers glue which is a PVA glue safe for artworks that you wish to conserve and will it yellow the paper?
ОтветитьFor those who never heard and for those who wanna share it.
HERE IS THE MILLION-DOLLAR QUESTION: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you.....
Thank you very much!
ОтветитьThank you so much. SHORT, SWEET, TO THE POINT. Great Video all around. Even your voice is lovely :)
ОтветитьWhat medium are we using here? Can't make out the label. Is it Yes Paste?
ОтветитьCan I use Logan deli paper? It’s waved on one side
ОтветитьThanks so much for the tip, Kathy! What medium did you use? Also how do you prevent the paper from warping the way wet paper does?
ОтветитьClever idea, the book!!
ОтветитьSo medium works as an adhesive? Whodathunk
ОтветитьAre you using a gel medium from Utrecht? And also what finish do you prefer and why?
ОтветитьGreat tips! Thanks. When working with a canvas, i like using foam board underneath. I stacked them up and i do not have to move the book underneath… since they are of a good size and they are pretty cheap.
ОтветитьWhat a clever idea thank you for sharing Kathy🌹
ОтветитьI'm trying to find the best glue for various Japanese printmaking papers...Washi, rice paper...very thin. Do the gel mediums stain through semi transparent papers, looking like a grease blob or do they dry to invisible with no effect? I have thicker cotton rag papers & have many times used matte medium, soft gels etc. with no issue but I'm afraid I'll ruin my more delicately printed ones or that over time they may discolor if not every part of the surface has ink or paint on it. Thank you!
ОтветитьHi do you prep the paper collage first with a sealant at all? Thanks.
ОтветитьLove u, yr sexy
Greetings f Berlin
What is the name of the medium. Utrecht something? I can’t understand your accent very well. Sorry.
ОтветитьIs it okay to do this over a dried oil painting?
ОтветитьGreat video. Thank you. I’m looking for information on how to adhere newspaper to a canvas board in order to paint a still life oil painting on top. Do you know what to use so that the newspaper won’t yellow?
ОтветитьSound goes off under the two minute time stamp...????
ОтветитьSo I don't need glue.? Just medium?
ОтветитьSis what is medium?
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьHello Kathy! Thank you for your videos. I'm writing on behalf of my daughter. She has cut out some beautiful designs on a textured card stock paper using her Cricut Maker. She would like to glue these textured cardstock designs to a primed canvas frame. What glue would you suggest that won't cause warping of the textured card stock? She's concerned that the wrong kind of glue is going to wrinkle or warp the textured card stock and not look nice when completed. So do you have a suggestion for some glue that would work great to glue the card stock to the primed canvas, and then do you have a suggestion for a coding to put over the top of everything that would seal it all and make it last for years? Thank you so very much.
ОтветитьVery helpful!
