The landscape of searching for and purchasing a home has undergone dramatic transformations in the last decade, particularly impacted by the scarcity of available homes for sale (inventory) in both Chicago and its surrounding suburban markets.

Back in 2013-2014, after the mortgage crisis had settled, accompanying buyers on their house-hunting endeavors was a joyous experience. We roamed various neighborhoods, exploring different properties together.

However, as time progressed to 2017, the market became fiercely competitive, and we could no longer show an extensive selection of six to eight homes in a single neighborhood. The options dwindled to just three or four. Now, in 2023, we consider ourselves fortunate if we stumble upon one or two available properties.

As our clients' needs evolved, so did our approach to educating and assisting them. Nowadays, nearly half of the process occurs online, with listings vanishing in an instant. The other half requires us to venture outside the usual boundaries of neighborhoods and price ranges to showcase the possibilities. Although we know that these might not be the exact homes they'll purchase, it's about unveiling housing types and styles that resonate with their preferences. This way, when the right property hits the market, we're fully prepared to act.

In this unpredictable rollercoaster of a market, trust emerges as the most critical element. Our clients place immense faith in us, and we carry that responsibility with utmost seriousness.
