Gio, have you ever thought about getting a motorhome vs a tiny house? You can leave it on your property and also take it places with your boys and move around a bit. I am weighing both options right now. Although I am heading to SE Asia for an extended trip later this year, I want to have something in the US as well. I have 2 condos in Savannah, but those are long term rentals that I can’t pop into / use at will.

Having grown up in South Dakota and then having lived in the Minneapolis St Paul area for 5 decades, I like the beauty of Minnesota the most of all the beautiful areas in the world. This video reminds me of my vacations in northern Minnesota. I found it hard to go back to the Philippines once I returned to spent time in the USA with family.
As cool as it is, the feelings just is not fulfilling being in the Philippines versus with my kids.
I stick to 3 months travel a year now

That’s what I’d like to do, keep my small mobile home in the states when I’m here and spend time in the Philippines when I’m over there! Best of both worlds.

I would recommend following through with your plans to have a small place back home. You do not want to regret not spending more time with your kids. In the colder months you can go back to Asia. Just when you get bored of one location, you can go enjoy the other.

Yes the problem in Minnesota is the bugs and wood ticks in the summer . Then many of the days can be rainy and cool in the summer but its beautiful in the lakes country. By mid September its to cold to go swimming even in the summer sometimes

HI GIO , Nice area , never been there but here on EAST COAST , we have BEAR MOUNTAINS and further upstate towards CANADA , similiar to where you are , we call them DEER TICKS.

I am sure if your FILIPINO subs are watching , they are probably amazed at the difference to there PHILS.

Nice video Gio. One thing about the future, it's going to get harder. I too have the option of staying half the year in Southern Oregon, which is paradise in the summer and half the year in the Philippines. Yet, I don't think the future looks that bright for transversing continents. I plan to retire soon in the Philippines. I will always have the option of coming back to Oregon but if I only had one option, it would be a beach in the Philippines. God bless your family and your journey

I sometimes chop up raw garlic and swallow (with juice or soda) to fend off a cold or flu. It’s nasty but it seems to work. It also seems to be a good mosquito repellent as others around me seem to get bit more. Just a teaspoon a day should do it.

Where in Minnesota did you go? When in my teens and 20s I've been on 15 canoe trips in Boundry Waters in northern Minnesota. Great fishing!!!

The Flight from and To USA/Philippines make me sad, it is a tough one I start in Dallas. 14 hours to Korea and 4 more to Manila, Sleep pattern is all messed up for a while.
